Battlefield 3 – “My Life” Trailer
Posted by Ace in Battlefield 3, Media, PS3 on April 15th, 2011
Well, most of you know that I’ve been posting about Battlefield 3 a ton, and today EA/DICE pumped out a new trailer. The trailer is titled “My Life,” now this could be them trying to tell us something, maybe they could be hinting to the main character in the campaign? We won’t know until we see more info, anyways, most of the footage has been seen in this video, but there are some new scenes, and some really wicked point of views. I would think this video was made to help get 1 million facebook “Likes” so we get the 12 minute reveal plus another video with commentary, earlier then expected of coarse. They are up to 732,844 likes as of 8:58 PM Eastern. So, if you would like to help, click here and press that awesome like button.
Puzzle Agent Coming to PSN April 19th
Posted by Oly in Media, Puzzle Agent on April 15th, 2011
TellTale Games’ “Puzzle Agent” is hitting the PSN on April 19th, for $9.99. The game is a “darkly twisted story about a missing eraser factory worker and a bunch of creepy gnomes!” It has a number of puzzles to solve and, as you can see, a unique style.
Alan Johnson, the Community Manager for Telltale Games describes the game best.
You play as Nelson Tethers, the ONLY agent in the US Department of Puzzle Research. Tethers is sent on a rare field assignment to Scoggins, Minnesota to investigate what happened to the factory that supplies the White House with all its erasers. To get to the bottom of this twisted mystery, players will have to overcome plenty of warped brain-bending conundrums.
The game features cartoonist Graham Annable’s unique narrative and visual style combined with the cinematic storytelling style that Telltale has been establishing. The mood and setting are heavily inspired by an eclectic set of influences including Nordic folklore, David Lynch, and the Coen brothers with a dash of Stanley Kubrick. Oh, and gnomes.

Jerry Lawson, Inventer of One of the First Video Game Console, Died
Posted by Eddie in Gaming Industry, QuickNews on April 15th, 2011
Gerald “Jerry” Lawson died at the age of 70 this Saturday morning. He was the inventor of one of the very first consoles ever that predated the Atari and others alike, and it was called Channel F. Channel F only had 26 cartridges ever made, including Blackjack, Spacewar, and Bowling. He was originally told that video games based on cartridge systems was not possible, but according to him, when someone says something isn’t possible, he will try anyways. We should all remember that when playing our awesome consoles today, to pay this man some respect.
Edit: This article incorrectly displays Jerry Lawson as creating the first cartridge based videogame system however that does not take away from Mr. Lawson’s reputation and earned respect.
Ralph Baer created the very first cartridge based videogame system with Magnavox in 1972. It was called the Magnavox Odyssey.
PSM3 Magazine “New HD Collection Based on Popular PS Franchise”
PSM3 Magazine is speculating that another PS franchise could be getting the HD treatment very soon. There seems to be a large interest in playing older games in HD with trophy support, so why not?
What do you guys think it could be? Final Fantasy (FFX, FFX-2, FFXII), Syphon Filter, GTA series? So many choices!
