I honestly can't argue any of those opinions...I can easily understand it actually. I'll admit that there were portions of the game that seemed to drone on (and on...and on).

But the same could be said for almost any game that lasts longer then 4 hours. It's the pay-off at the end that made the game so damn worth every boring second I endured!

myk26: Great article FooBear! Like you, I wandered down that Red Dead road and found myself in awe at it’s conclusion! But unfortunately, as great as it was (to me, it was near pinnacle of gaming) there are PLENTY of those (like Jason) that just couldn’t wade through to the end.As for why most companies don’t take a chance like Rockstar does…cause thats just how the great games start, a chance. I think comes from gamers like Jason (Jason, I in no way mean this as disrespect). I’ve met more then my fair share of gamers who tried RRD and just couldn’t deal with it….as in, if you’re not gunning someone down or rapped up in some sort of action every 5 minutes, interest is lost.Rockstar has the $$$ to take chances. And when you have a team like Rockstar, it’s not much of a chance when you have the industries most creative minds behind it.…which is two things that can’t be said for many dev’s in the industry.

What would you say if I told you I thought it was too big for its own good? Walking around following a dog was boring and I found a lot of the game tedious and repetitive.

No day 1 purchases from me for the rest of the year unless gift cards magically appear at the house hehehe.

Still need to get into RDR. Will have to ask my boss for it once PSN is back.
