Well, were almost home everybody!
I was able to sign in after a brief update with no issues. Enjoy!
Software Update:
Most regions should be able to download the new update now, which requires users to reset their PSN passwords upon singing into the PSN.

Update:
We’re currently experiencing an extremely heavy load of password resets, and so we recently had to turn off services for approximately 30 minutes to clear the queue.
As such, a large number of people are attempting to change their passwords at the same time, it’s taking longer than expected for all those emails to clear all of the ISPs.
If you’ve requested your password reset, please give it a bit of time to reach your email. Thanks for your patience as we work to get everyone back online.

All this is such a tease. They shouldn’t of announced anything till it was up for real. I should be able to connect right now since they announced it’s back up. It’s not yet though.

This update 3.61 is getting us ready for the real thing, I thank by the end of this month in my regene, I updated and that was it nothing more of it, I try to sign back in and still says performing maintenance.

It may take a while even after your state has been green lit for the update, just try again in a half hour to an hour.

I live in VA by the way, and still not up at 1:00am it seems when the PSN is back up in my area Ill be able to update my password cause the update 1.61 didnt let me change it yet when I first updated to 3.61.

Anyways, as I’ve stated before, PSN being back up doesn’t reall effect me seeing as that I have no games at the moment. Should be able to get one for my b-day here in a week or so. Just don’t know what I want.

Its going down sporadically for everyone Royalty. Sony is saying emergency maintanence so we have to wait and see. Its also sporadically coming back up and down again.

At least this means we haven’t been forgotten! Well… I’ll just have to wait until the maintenance is over then, at least the System Update is out of the way.

Ok, I could finally change my password on two accounts and upload my trophies. Couldn’t do it on another account because it tells me my password is incorrect (old one) which is weird. Will email Sony about it.
Now to wait and see if we get free retail (or download) games as European PSN account holders do.

There will likely be a few bugs for about a week. Go in to edit your settings and make the IP settings manual. DNS server can be changed. I use one of Google’s public DNS servers (8.8.8.8 or 8.8.4.4; some just use both instead of the router) and my router (192.168.2.1). Eventually, the error will stop.
That’s their plan. Details are to be announced probably this week
