Just a heads up. It looks like there is going to be some maintenance today and the PSN will be down for some time. EU, it looks like your night is ruined. Here are the times:
08:00 – 17:00 PST = NA Maintenance
Official Word from Sony
PlayStation Network is scheduled to undergo maintenance today, from about 8am until approximately 5pm Pacific time. During this time, registration and Account Management will be inaccessible, including the password reset process. While some users may experience difficulty signing in to PSN, the majority of consumers will be able to play online as well as sign in to external sites that require PSN authentication (like this one).
For those asking about the PlayStation Store, we’re still targeting restoration of all services by the end of this month. Contrary to reports, the Store will not be publishing today.
Stay tuned to the PlayStation Twitter feed for updates and a notice when maintenance has concluded.
We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.
Update
UPDATE: The maintenance has been completed, and Account Management and other affected functions are once again accessible. Thanks, as always, for your patience.

Gamasutra was the one who reported the Store would be back up today and everyone ran with it, including me. Sony never said anything publically about it.

This is just bad. I cant download my psn games I paid for or the adhoc software for my psp. Over 30 days it is getting old. I think the most upsetting is the fact that the download list (History) is not available. Give us access to what we paid for. Im sure TOS say’s somewhere you don’t own anything lol

Agreed, I’d rather have it up 100%. I’m ok waiting, I have other games to work on.

Sony I brought these and I cant play or download them etc… and Iam sure Sony would give them back to you if you have proof that you did in fact pay for them, but I assume your makeing a funny with the lol at end of you comment but again if not here you go.

We’ve waited for so long, what’s a couple of more days? I could sync my trophies which was a big plus and will continue to do so until the store is back and I start buying some DLC for the games PSN games I’ve been playing.

Well, at least this means I haven’t lost the bet just yet!
The only thing bothering me is because I really wanted to download some things from the store, other then that I’m alright.

I’m not going to say you’re wrong…but if thats the case Gamasutra did one hell of a job at getting the word out.

@Jason: Have you considered getting a bigger HDD (500 GB seems about right) for when the store is back so you can download everything in your list over a couple of nights?
#13 by pedrolabate on May 24th, 2011 [ 39934 Points ]
I wanted to try that, but I’ve yet to understand if my locked saves would transfer to the new HDD. Also, do you have to “reinstall” the PS3 system on it?

Yea, um I think this isn’t that big of a deal.

Really Eden? lol You dont think I would buy one if I could? It works the way I do it now. Not like store will always be down.
Pedro use sky save system for locked saves bud

I think I’ll be using my free month of PS+ to do that little upgrade.
Is there any specifications I should worry when buying the new HDD?
#17 by EdEN on May 25th, 2011 [ 102599 Points ]
@Pedro: Yep, that could work. You transfer your saves to the cloud and during the same month upgrade your HDD and then bring them back to the cloud.
As for the HDD specifications others HAVE changed theirs and they could be of more help. Right of the top of my head, I remember it HAS to be a Notebook SATA HDD, 5400 RPM speed.
