InFamous 2 Save Data Import |

Sucker Punch has mentioned that you will be able to import your Infamous save file into Infamous 2 and it appears they kept their promise. When you fire up Infamous 2 you will have an option to import your Infamous Trophy data. I, like many others, have earned the platinum and have wondered what, exactly, we would get. Here is the list:

♦ Have good or evil Trophies from Infamous: Start Infamous 2 at level 1 good karma or level 1 evil karma.
♦ Infamous Trophy for 25 percent of the Blast Shards: Free energy core in Infamous 2.
♦ Infamous Trophy for 50 percent of the Blast Shards: Two free energy cores.
♦ Finished Infamous with any karma standing on any difficulty: 1,000 bonus XP for Infamous 2.
♦ Specific Trophies for Specific Infamous decisions: Reflect side missions, Dead Drops and dialog variety in Infamous 2.

  • Well, I haven’t even finished the first one yet, and from what it seems it’s kind of necessary.

Thankfully we’ll get it for free in a couple weeks, after I’m done with it, I’ll take on this bad boy.

  • nice! cool that they keep decisions that one makes, like mass effect. although honestly infamous’s decision-making process is so binary that the above probably could have been managed quite simply by asking the user at the beginning whether she wanted to end the events of the previous title as good or as evil.

I didn’t plat the first infamous, though I played it through as both good and evil cole. it’s just too annoying to find all the hundreds of blast shards. but I certainly got >50% of them.

  • Oly

I also haven’t finished the first one, but I like this idea. All sequels should include something like this..

  • This makes trophy’s mean something finally. I platinum-ed the first one and kept save file so I’m ready lol. Please let there be no shards in part 2

  • I like these kinds of bonuses vs. pre-order crap that makes a game easier.

Infamous 2 is great because you start with all the powers you unlocked in the first one. So it’s not the cliche “Oh you got all this stuff from the last game, but now you’ve lost it and have to start over” which is something I hate sometimes.

These bonuses for the fans are well balanced, and not over done. I’m looking forward to playing Infamous 2, and not to plug it, but IGN’s Podcast Beyond from this week has an interview with the new voice actor of Cole that’s pretty good.
