Resistance Bundle is coming

I picked up Resistance 2 when I first bought my PS3 and loved every moment of it. Those of you who missed either 1 or 2 now have a killer deal coming your way in the form of a greatest hits bundle. You can see the insert here.

The ad which is inserted into the Battle Los Angeles Blu-ray says it will come with $10 worth in extras and an exclusive Resistance 3 skin. $39.99 is a heck of a deal for 2 great games.

Dead Island, 11 Min Gameplay Video

In post apocalyptic paradise, accuracy and smarts is what you will need to survive the onslaught of scantily clad zombies. Dead Island attempts to set itself apart from your run of the mill zombie adventure by avoiding the super fast button mashing of a hack and slash. You will need to be precise and calculative on your attacks or prepare to be eaten alive when fatigue sets in. Guns will be sparse at times to ensure the danger is felt.

The island itself is huge so you have the option of driving a vehicle and mowing down a few unsuspecting zombies or you can fast track from the map. You also get a rage mode that allows you to ward off fatigue while you swing away at some of the tougher zombie types.

The game is shaping up to be a must have for FPS and zombie fans alike. Lets just hope we see zombie sharks!!!

Marston or Phelps? A Comparison of L.A. Noire and Red Dead Redemption

Rockstar Games is hitting its stride now. Two straight games that are genre defining, and potentially revolutionary, they’ve released now, both of which to fan and critical acclaim. But which one is better? Team Bondi’s homage to film noire or Rockstar San Diego’s western classic?

I’ve already stated on this blog that Red Dead Redemption is among my favorite games of all time, and L.A. Noire was my most anticipated game of 2011. But, which game will I say is better?

I have to warn you, this post contains spoilers for both games. If you haven’t finished it, I suggest you wouldn’t read the “plot” section of this post.

PSP Games Coming to PS3 with HD Visuals and Extra Content

Sony has announced a new initiative where select PSP titles will be ported to the PS3 with improvements (think dual analog sticks) to each game. They are calling this movement Playstation Portable Remaster Series.

All games will display HD graphics but some games will have 3D support, new exclusive content, control pad support and more!

Game saves will still be interchangeable between the PSP and PS3.

To get an idea what we are to expect, check out the Monster Hunter Portable 3rd up above.

Edit: Rumors are flying around that the HD versions of these PSP games will be compatible with the NGP which makes sense. Lots to look forward to!
