The video after the jump is a collaboration of the social aspects to the Playstation Vita detailing cross game voice chat, party chat, game sharing, invites and online multiplayer. About 1 minute in the video there is a little skit on the multiplayer aspect of the Vita showing off Resistance. Now I’m sure it is in the pre-alpha stage at this time but this confirms that they plan on putting competitive multiplayer in Resistance which has not been mentioned before. This is great news and I’m sure we can expect many more announcements and hidden gems like this for some time to come.

Am I the only one still waiting for the ps3 to get cross game chat? It would make tons of sense, now with the Vita coming out.

bleh, I have never been a fan of the xgame chat idea, there are better ways to spend time than to implement this feature, I mean I can understand why people want it but its nothing important for me personally, but I can agree that with the Vita having a pairing in functionality with the vita would be cool.
I cant wait, I have my Vita preorder in already im set!!!!!!

Yah im thinking the PS3 should be getting cross game chat soon, it would make no sense for a portable console to have it and a home console to not have it.

I’m not entirely sure Cross game chat can be done on the ps3, in the way it is currently set-up. i think it would need some serious overhauls in terms of the XMB and PSN, which i dont see coming soon.
and is cross game chat really a big deal ?, use skype if you need it =P

but on topic: this is awesome, some competitive online shooting will be refreshing for a hand-held and the twin sticks should make it just like on a console.
I’m a big fan of the Resistance series, hopefully this one will include a great SP campaign too with a compelling story that adds to the narrative so far. not just a hand-held spin-off that we’re used to seeing.
