Bethesda just released the first video in a six part behind-the-scenes series for RAGE. In this video, the team at id Software touch on pioneering the first-person shooter and creating the world of RAGE.
“RAGE features intense first-person shooter action, breakneck vehicle combat, an expansive world to explore and jaw-dropping graphics powered by id’s revolutionary id Tech™ 5 technology. Set in the not-too-distant future after an asteroid impacts Earth, you emerge into a vast wasteland to discover humanity working to rebuild itself against such forces as bandit gangs, mutants, and more. RAGE promises an experience like no other.”
RAGE is slated for release on October 4th, 2011.

This looks promising. There was some comercial cycling around the web … what was that, um … honk to put me in Rage? Tiger jump lol good stuff.

Looks good. Reminds me of Fallout with the world in alot of ways.

It is basically just a copy of Fallout 3, just with a generic FPS type setting to it.

At first it reminded me of Fallout too, but gameplay is a lot different actually, possibly the biggest difference between the two.
Of course, the story and environments could easily fit in a Fallout game.

Mancubus at 1:03! But yea this looks pretty awesome, I hope it does everything right that Fallout 3 does wrong. Game 60 FPS…… I wish you would’ve told 3D Realms/Gearbox that with Duke
