Meet Dead Island’s Newest Character Logan

Deep Silver has just released more information on the third playable character for Dead Island. He name is Logan, and he’s an ex-football player looking to escape to the island of Banoi for a much needed get away.

NAME : LOGAN CATEGORY : HERO
A former American football star, spoiled by life and successful in every possible way, Logan’s ego finally put an end to his bright future. Taking part in a reckless street race with tragic consequences, Logan not only killed a young woman – his unfortunate passenger; he also fractured his knee, putting an end to his sports career. His fall from stardom inevitably followed and he plunged swiftly into a life of bitterness and despair. In an attempt to get away from the demons hunting him, he gladly takes the chance to experience the beauties and wonders of Banoi.

Soon enough though the getaway he was dreaming about turns into a real life nightmare…

Dead Island will be released on Sep. 6, 2011. For more info check out the official Dead Island site here.

PlayStation Vita Gets a Release Date?!

A United Kingdom retailer, ShopTo.net, has given the PlayStation Vita a release date of November 4th, 2011 on its online store. The website lists the Vita with a starting price £228.94 to those that order before the release.

While we would love this to be the official release date, it is likely that the retailer has estimated the release date to encourage eager fans to pre-order the upcoming handheld console.

Speaking to GameSpot, Sony said that no official date had been given, making it even more clear that ShopTo has probably added the November 4 release as a placeholder.

“No one has communicated any release dates to retail partners. That date is not official as we haven’t announced anything yet.” Said Sony.

Previously, Sony stated that Vita would launch worldwide in 2011, so let’s hope it isn’t too far away from ShopTo’s placeholder. As far as I’m concerned, the sooner the better, so we can make love with Uncharted: Golden Abyss. I would start saving up now. This fall, is going to a killer for our wallets!

When do you think Vita will be released?

Portal 2 Review

I was sitting, live, in Sony’s E3 press conference, when Valve’s Gabe Newell made a surprise appearance (and an even more surprising announcement). Valve’s Portal 2 would soon be coming to the PS3. For those of you that don’t know, Portal 2 is a first-person action/puzzle video game that has both single and two-player co-operative game modes. Portal 2, was one of the most anticipated games of the year, and is the sequel to the title that earned over 30 Game of the Year Awards in 2007. So, is this sequel worthy of the same awards?
