[E3 2011] Missing In Action
Another E3 has come to a close and while gamers were shown plenty of reasons to be excited for their platform of choice, there were a few titles that were noticeably absent this year. Here’s a list of titles m.i.a at E3 2011:
Sorcery: One of the most promising PlayStation Move titles revealed for the PS3 during E3 2010, Sorcery was a no show this year. News regarding Sorcery has been hard to find since last year. Although rumored to release sometime this year, the only update about the game was made on February 11th when The Workshop ( developers working on Sorcery ) posted the following on their website: “Development for “Sorcery” is in full-swing. We’re really excited on the progress so far.”
[E3 2011] Amy Preview and Impressions
I sat down at E3 with Lexis Numérique to preview their upcoming title Amy. Amy was designed by Paul Cuisset, the same guy who designed Flashback in the 90′s and its sequel for the original PlayStation, Fade to Black. I wasn’t expecting much from the game to tell you the truth. I assumed this would be another FPS zombie game for the PSN, that you would tire of after an hour or so. Well, I was way off.
Amy is a third person game, set in the near future of 2034. You play as Lana, a scientist who survives a train wreck, wakes from having blacked out, and is then chased by army gunfire into a zombie infested city. Although they are being haled as zombies, most of the creatures I saw look more like viscous, mutated creatures compared to your standard decaying body-type zombies.

This has got to be one of the best trailers regarding the PSN outage. Great stuff here for a pretty fun game. We will have a review up soon, so make sure to keep your eyes open for that.
[E3 2011] Journey Interview
Posted by Tosh in E3 2011, Interviews, Journey on June 17th, 2011

I managed to get a interview with Brian Singh, who is a technical game designer at thatgamecompany. This was a impromptu interview, so it’s not very organized & it was loud in the room. So I apologize for that.
I didn’t get a chance to play the demo before they started to close things down. But it did watch somebody play most of the demo. The demo starts with a low view of the desert and you can see the sand crystals sparkle and it’s a very stunning visually. When you walk around on the desert it reacts kind of like water, it ripples when you go past it. Instead of me just rambling on, I’ll just let the interview above explain it in more detail. But it’s going to be a must buy for me. It looks like another winner from thatgamecompany.
Playstation Vita to Support DLNA and Skype
Posted by Eddie in PlayStation Vita, QuickNews on June 16th, 2011
Brazilian site gamegen.com have posted an image from a Sony stage keynote on the Vita that it will in fact support not only Skype as the PSP did (even though it is now owned by Microsoft) but it will also support DLNA, a great feature the PS3 currently uses to connect to your network and view items stored on your PC!
Nicholson Electroplating Gets a Trailer
Posted by Jay in DLC, L.A. Noire, Media on June 16th, 2011
The upcoming DLC for LA Noire, Nicholson Electroplating (arson case), releases next week. Today, Rockstar Games has released a trailer for it, and it definitely seems pretty action packed! From what I gather from the trailer, a huge explosion happened at the factory, messing up a few city blocks, while leaving 17 people dead, and Howard Hughes, of all people, has something to do with the case. Remember, if you purchased the Rockstar Pass ($9.99), you get this DLC (as well as the other stuff and another upcoming case) for free!

Battlefield 3 will be featured on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon on tonight as part of video game week on the show. EA’s Kevin O’Leary and DICE’s Johan Dohl will be showing the first Playstation 3 footage of Battlefield 3.
UPDATE: Here’s the video from last night!
(Play me in 720P, to see my full awesomeness.)
Wow! It looks like ps3 runs bf3 very smooth, honestly I can’t tell the difference between this and the PC version. Maybe it’s just me.
