Grasshopper Manufacture Reveals New Zombie Game

From the creators of No More Heroes & Shadow of the Damned comes a new zombie oriented game with a different type of hero, a cheerleader by the name of Juliet Sterling. On her 18th birthday Juliet’s school, San Romero High, was attacked by zombies. So what’s a cheerleader to do? Grab the nearest chainsaw and start taking heads. Literally.

Lollipop Chainsaw ( I kid you not ) is currently 70% complete. No release date has been shared yet. Source: Andriasang

The No More Heroes PS3 port and Shadows of the Damned are on my “to buy list” for the end of the year and now I know what will be added to the 2012 one. Suda 51 has been good to me so I shall be good to him as well.

    Thanks Sakinah!

Shadow of the Damned kinda bombed last month. I have a feeling this may do better.

@Sakinah: We need actual sales numbers before saying it “bombed”. Suda 51 games tend to sell 200-600k copies and the way NPD reports sales now (all SKU of a same game are together) pushes lots of games out of the “top 10″ (it was done mainly so Wii games didn’t populate the list as was the case before the change).

Shadows of the Damned, 57,000 copies worldwide (according to vgchartz.com).

They should have just made a game based on the Highschool of the Damned anime. That was the first thing I thought of when I saw this post.

Don’t know how accurate VG chartz’ worldwide numbers are but according to NPD SotD sold 24,000k last month across both systems.

I have never played No More Heroes and I don’t even know what the game is all about, but everyone I talk to say it’s great.

However (I don’t believe I’m saying this) I’m getting a little tired of Zombie games, the last titles I’ve played felt very shallow and lacking in many aspects. Amy seems to be doing a good work though.

I hope this isn’t yet another generic title. Graphics remind me of Borderlands.

@Pedro: No More Heroes is getting a PS3 port and you should definitely get that when you’re in NY.

lets wait for it to come out and see the reviews.

But I gotta say the graphic is up-to-date from what the ss showed unlike NMH or SOTD which look dated.
