I've been considering this game for awhile. I didn't really like the first one (I could get insanely frustrated by the original Infamous), but it had it's really fun moments. I think I'll rent this.

While Infamous 2 is not a AAA game, what it does it does well. There are only two real complaints i have about the game. First is the climbing, omg does it suck. I thought that sucker punch would learn from Infamous 1 that tapping the X button to climb is LAME!! I want assassins creed/uncharted climbing, is that two much to ask. Second is the automatic stick. I hate it, its so annoying, thats really it though for me. Its a great game that has flaws but does a lot of stuff right. My biggest question is what ending are the gonna use to play out Infamous 3 but to be honest i dont see Infamous 3 coming out on ps3, i think theyre gonna wait until the ps4.

That's a great in-depth review Jay, thank you.

I haven't been able to play this game yet, and it's not one I'll be playing anytime soon, but that's just because of my "gaming schedule" and the fact i wan't to get titles i'm not really anxious about when I'm in the US later this year.

I'm sad the story is short and I feel like (from what you've said) it could be a little undeveloped. I really enjoyed the plot behind the first game, so it's sad really. Also, I wish they had addressed the camera issues, because those were already annoying on the first game, so they shouldn't have overlooked it.

Overall, the game sounds like a fun and when the time comes I'm sure it'll be a good experience.

Gibb: regarding the length: during your playthrough, did you complete all the side missions to unlock the new powers? because I’m doing this and I still didn’t finish it, in fact I just opened up the third area. Then again I might be slacking

My complaint was with the story itself, really. Side missions don't really contribute to that, but outside of the main story missions, you can probably do all of the side missions in a few hours, so it makes the total package about 12 hours long, assuming you don't spend all your time just looking for shards, which will take the longest to complete (but made easier when you do your scan)
