Captain_CHEETO:
You keep hyping this game up Oly lol I hope it lives up to everyone’s expectations, because I hate it when a game gets so much attention and then crashes on reviews sites dramatically! Not that must reviews matters, but it will drive the sales down to a point where publishers decide to pull the plug on the series.

^

I'm just passing on the hype as I get it..lol
I did play it at E3 for a bit and it was pretty fun. FPS with a little added in. I really don't expect this to be be anywhere near as good as Borderlands, but I do expect it to be a fun game to play.

@Pedro: Yeah, this game looks like a more linear Borderlands with a way better graphics engine, particularly in its environment rendering. (I read somewhere before Borderland's release that the game's cool rotoscoping effect was a late change to the game that was designed to make the lacklustre graphics engine look edgy and stylized.)

This Rage video series, though, is quite underwhelming. The devs interviewed need to learn how to sell their game. A few of the lines that had me laughing: "We want you to follow this movie experience, but we want to allow you some freedom to explore different things" (1:45, emphasis mine). "You're driving across these landscapes, and you're going to visit people, and they're going to give you jobs to do" (3:00). C'mon, guys; give me some enthusiasm here!

Oly: LOL, I talked to a guy at Prima Games, who has played it to help write the guide. All he said when I asked if it was good was “Uh YA! Real good,” but I can’t say any more.

That's great!

I'm really excited about this game. Right now I'm playing Borderlands and loving it, and this has some good similarities. One thing I'm enjoying about it is there's nearly no repetition of environments, you don't even have to return to the same places to do missions and that's really good, this game seems to be the same.
