Ubisoft’s announced that a single-player demo of Driver: San Francisco will be available on the PSN and LIVE.
Three missions will be available in the demo:
- Team Colours: Shift between cars to finish 1st & 2nd in a race.
- Escapist: The objective is to escape the police with a VIP passenger.
- Prove It: Execute stunts and tricks and escape the police.
Geoffroy Sardin, chief marketing and sales officer at Ubisoft, commented on Driver’s Demo release and the vision they have for the franchise:
The Driver franchise has always been defined by the excitement of high speed chases and the freedom to drive anywhere in huge cities. Playing Driver San Francisco is the best way to reveal this unique Driver feeling and we are thrilled gamers will be able to get a taste of why we are so excited about Driver San Francisco’s release in September.

Cheeto, since you’ve downloaded the Demo, would you care to explain “Team Colours” ?
I didn’t really understand how it works.

Well, its really simple Pedro, you are a team of two drivers with two cars in a 4 cars race. your mission is to complete the race with both your cars as 1st and 2nd. You can switch between cars by pressing R1 I think.

Ah ok, thanks!
When you’re driving the other car the AI takes over. This sounds cooler as a multiplayer mode.

I was pleasantly surprised with the demo. It plays nice and smooth and the car handling is actually really good. I’ll definitely have to get this game, especially since, as mentioned in one of the trailers, you can upload video clips from director mode, one of my favorite things about the series lol
