Hideo Kojima Gives Us A Sneak Peak Of The Metal Gear Solid HD Collection Trophies

Hello everyone. If you’re not one with a twitter account yet, you better start one. Twitter has become a major source of industry reveals, giveaways, beta access code giveaways. Sometimes even free trips to conventions or free swag direct from companies. It is also a tool for which producers like Hideo Kojima @HIDEO_KOJIMA_EN use to tease us with upcoming game content.

So far we are all looking forward to Metal Gear Solid: Rising, however we have the Metal Gear Solid HD Collection to hold us over for now. As seen here in one of Mr. Kojima’s non stop tweets, a shot presumably from his iPhone, trophies from the upcoming MGS HD collection. Metal Gear Solid HD collection is due on November of this year, while Metal Gear Solid: RIZING is due out on 2012.

I’ll be skipping the collection as MGS3 is the ONLY game I’ve ever started and never finished in my 26 years as a gamer.

SOOO glad though that these games are coming back for new generation! Probably too hard for kids these days though 😀 But great choice by Konami. I’ll forgive the mutli console because Snake is awesome.

I’ll buy this. I bought MGS3 Substinence, played it on my 60gb ps3, beat it and loved it. Then I bought the PS2 Collection and beat MGS1 and then I never got around to beating MGS2. I also bought MGS4 day one and I promised myself I wouldn’t play it till I beat MGS2, so its just bin sitting there waiting. Its pretty pathetic on my part. So many games so little time.

Konami didn’t have a good year last year. You can tell at Comic-Con they are banking on Kojima’s “Fox Engine” and the upcoming 25th anniversary of MGS. They had the smallest booth at comic-con and at E3 they were almost non existent. I believe this is a move to gain capital from there losses.
I had a chance to demo Peace Walker HD and the only difference was, it was brighter, and with the addition of the analog stick controls, made it easier to play. For example if you guys are familiar with one of the tank missions, where you have to take down a tank and a couple of soldiers.. usually takes me 10 to 15 minutes on PSP but with PS3 controls, took me like less than 5.

In my opinion they should just improve Metal Gear Online. The most balanced online shooter to date I believe. Thank you guys for your comments.

I love the trophy illustrations. If there is one thing I hate is bland trophy icons, i.e. God of War III.

Not to mention I hate how your profile lists your last few trophies. I can never tell when I look at someones profile what the hell they are for, even in a game I’ve beaten. Though with this, it looks as though the MGS3 trophies have very distinct images.

Man I can’t wait to play MGS3 again. Loved that game, and the online was great too XD. Loved Peace Walker as well, hope we can play multiplayer over the PSN.
