GTTV’s revealed the first real trailer for Valve’s upcoming shooter Counter-Strike: Global Offensive, as more information on the game become apparent from playtests at the company’s headquarters in Washington.
Gaming sites report that while PC gamers will enjoy its normal control options open to them, with Xbox 360 gamers only able to use a gamepad, PS3 owners will have the option of either a DualShock, PlayStation Move and even a keyboard and mouse. I believe that’s worth mentioning again — keyboard and mouse. On your very own PS3.
CS:GO will also launch with five maps for Bomb/Defuse mode, with two others for Hostage Rescue. All seven maps are based from the classic Counter-Strike 1.6 and Counter-Strike Source.
Cross-platform play between PC or Mac and PS3 players, relatively the same to that of Portal 2, was also announced, with players being joined together based on skill and regardless of what it uses to control the game on either gaming platform.
A beta will also be released in October, with PAX and Eurogamer Expo attendees getting themselves beta codes of CS:GO.
