Counter-Strike: Global Offensive Gameplay | PS3Blog.net

GTTV’s revealed the first real trailer for Valve’s upcoming shooter Counter-Strike: Global Offensive, as more information on the game become apparent from playtests at the company’s headquarters in Washington.

Gaming sites report that while PC gamers will enjoy its normal control options open to them, with Xbox 360 gamers only able to use a gamepad, PS3 owners will have the option of either a DualShock, PlayStation Move and even a keyboard and mouse. I believe that’s worth mentioning again — keyboard and mouse. On your very own PS3.

CS:GO will also launch with five maps for Bomb/Defuse mode, with two others for Hostage Rescue. All seven maps are based from the classic Counter-Strike 1.6 and Counter-Strike Source.

Cross-platform play between PC or Mac and PS3 players, relatively the same to that of Portal 2, was also announced, with players being joined together based on skill and regardless of what it uses to control the game on either gaming platform.

A beta will also be released in October, with PAX and Eurogamer Expo attendees getting themselves beta codes of CS:GO.

  • Was hoping they would ditch the crosshairs. So it runs with realisim mod. Thank heavens. This will break the cod fans easily. This is for the big boys. Great post. Been waiting to see it. It is what I was hoping for!

  • Keyboard and mouse for PS3? Please explain!

Those images brig back so many memories!

  • Hmm even if there will be keyboard and mouse for compatibility for ps3, i would stick with the pc version.

  • Luke

WOW Valve has really turned a 180 on the ps3 huh?

  • I hope the PC version has Games for Windows LIVE. I’d actually rather play this on a PC. It’s like meant to be on PC. Ya know? Still I’m not sure if my computer can run it XD.

  • I think You will be able to use a keyboard and a mouse via USB ports on the PS3 Pedro. Move support should be fun with a sharp shooter. these images indeed bring back good memories. I am not sure what they going with exactly, but apparently no one does lol Its is CS fever all over!
