LittleBigPlanet 2 Price Drop; Move Support Enabled! |

I am a LittleBitLate with this news, but LittleBigPlanet 2 is now $39.99 “at participating retailers”, so if you haven’t picked it up because of the price, now might be a good time to do so. Also, earlier in the week, there was a new update available for LBP2. One that allows you to play the game using the Move controller.

To go along with that, Media Molecule will also have the Move Pack DLC available next week, a video showcasing that can be viewed up top. From the looks of things, it adds quite a bit more to the already great gameplay the game provides! Here’s some information about the Move Pack (from

Featuring a brand new story mode; Rise of the Cakeling, a new power-up for Sackboy called the Brain Crane, and a suite of creative tools to help you build your own Move games, paint your own stickers and record movements, the Move Pack is our biggest DLC add-on pack to date!

No pricing details available just yet, though.

    Will this pack cost extra?

  • I’ll take part 1 for a spin and see if it can convince me to wait for the GOTY edition for LBP 2.

ajescent: Will this pack cost extra?

Good question. I can’t find price details anywhere. MM says this is the biggest DLC they’ve ever made for a game, and knowing their history of giving prices to costumes and stickers and stuff, I would assume that this pack would cost some money. Maybe $10?

  • Ajescent

I might consider it for £7.00

  • Looks good Jay, I still haven’t played the first one at full, but I might consider this!

  • I think this game is good, but it’s not for me. I’ve played the first one a bunch with my girlfriend but honestly it isn’t the kind of game I usually go back to.

It’s very interesting and well made, offers tons of content and allows people to express their creativity, but the fun factor is a bit lacking for me.

  • I thought the Move pack is to be a free add-on, but I don’t know why I think that, apart from the fact that the game should have had Move support from day one. (Media Molecule released that odd “Prehistoric Moves” game free to PSN+ members shortly before LBP2 was actually launched, as I recall.)

  • Since it has a new story mode (and probably new trophies) my guess is that it WILL cost $4.99+. Then again, Sony could be GENEROUS about it and have it release for free to encourage Move purchases.

  • just purchased move bundle yesterday, is there any review or impressions on how move work with this game? also what would you guys recommend on buying that goes nicely with move?
