@Darklurkr23: I'm really quite the Magic neophyte, so I can't speak authoritatively on the history of these issues. Obviously the very notion of the "planeswalker" is a relatively recent development, as is, probably, the larger effort to narrativize the MtG universe. But I draw your attention to the MtG web comics, which represent Wizard's attempt to do all of the above in a coherent fashion. They're pretty terrible comics. Notice that Ral does not seem to be a character in these stories, but then again, most of the Duels 2012 characters are absent. (The only ones present are the repeats from D09: Garruk, Jace, Chandra, etc.)

I have no idea who that Ral Zarek is . He must be in the next winter or spring set for Innistrad. Cause I was looking forward to seeing his real card in Innistrad but it's gone. Izzet was always an awesome guild from Ravnica :D I played this demo and just like last time, it was waaaay to slow .
If you have no idea what I'm talking about, Play some Magic www.magicthegathering.com

GREAT opening movie though. That is what Magic could be mainstream movie I love it when they just do awesome crap and break away from the nerd statistic stuff.

Thanks, Pedro! You should give it a go -- you sound like a hardcore Magic aficionado from your comments on the original review of the game! And hey, add me to PSN if you want to try playing sometime.

EdEN: Yeah, should have mentioned in the review that the DLC adds six trophies: 4 bronze and 2 silver. I'll update the post with that info. The trophies are pretty easy to come by. The trophies for the vanilla version of Duels 2012 are a total joke -- most of them can by had by winning just one game with each of the ten core decks. By contrast, I believe that the equivalent deck-related trophies in D09 require that you unlock all of the cards for each deck, which requires something like seventeen wins per deck!

I've got to eventually do a trophy run on 2009 before diving into 2011. Hopefully the 2009 packs go on sale (or are bundled at a discount) so I can get 100% of them out of the way.
