Dark Souls early players beware | PS3Blog.net

From Software has a unique way of saying “you shouldnt be online yet”. Players who have obtained a copy before the street release date are constantly being invaded by overpowered Black phantoms courtesy of From Software. 19,000 HP on a Black Phantom is always good news!

Dark Souls official street date is October 4th 2011. There is still time to pre-order and receive the limited edition for $59.99 which includes:

Limited edition art book containing premium illustrations of characters and environments from the game
Mini-strategy guidebook
Behind-the-scenes videos from the development studio
Game’s soundtrack for digital download
All of this will come packaged with the standard edition game in a custom-designed metal case

Also if you’re into using your points from Gamestop to purchase gaming shirts this Pre order is offering double points if ordered before the 3rd of October and paid off before the day of release.

  • Ain’t this awesome? Wish I had early access to the game xx

  • lol, what a brilliant way to attempt to combat leaks and pre-day zero piracy!

  • good one From Software!

  • From Software should have spent more time testing the game before they released it. People are complaining about it crashing and freezing on them in Japan.

  • @Sakinah What?! Crashes and freezes suck! I hate that! After 200+ hours of Demon’s Souls it never even once crashed on me (American Version) so this is really sad.

day it came out psn has been having issues so dont even worry bud. Hell it took me 7 trys to download socom 4 update with freezes and what not.

  • Software says they’ll have a fix for it next week, until then no online play. Hopefully the same issues won’t carry over when it’s released here soon.

  • Both scores I’ve seen so far are nearly perfect:

    Dengeki – 90/90/95/95

    Famitsu – 9/9/9/10

I can’t say what that means specifically, but the numbers are very promising (and much better than DS scores by the same sources)
