Resident Evil Chronicles Wii games to given HD ports | PS3Blog.net

We’ve already gotten ports of Dead Space Extraction and House of the Dead: Overkill… so now it’s time to bring two more on rails shooters to PS3! CAPCOM has just announced that ports of both Resident Evil Chronicles games will be given HD ports with Move support (well… duh!) for release at an unspecified date.

I already own ALL of the games mentioned in this post but for those of you that have yet to try any of these fine, fine games… what do you think about all the Wii to PS3 ports lately?

  • I think I’ll be skipping this, on rail shooters are not my cup of tea. But it’s certainly good news for those who like it.

  • hmm interesting really wanting to try these outs

  • They ARE great games and very fun. Played them start to finish by myself AND did another run with my brother. Even more fun the second time thanks to all the yelling and cursing hehehe.

  • Also, the Nav controller feels a bit awkward after so many years of playing with the Nunchuck. Nav isn’t ergonomic enough. A miss on Sony’s side.

  • these are solid fyi. i play them all the time on my wii.

im excited about this. I have wanted to play those two games. I will definitely get this. Besides i enjoy light gun games.

and Resident Evil 4, Fast Draw Showdown, (until I see video otherwise Gods vs Humans aka Tower of Bable on PSN) and No More Heroes, also btw.

Man.. Wii gets no love and it’s not fair. People bash and bash but noone says anything when the games get ported.

  • Great move! Wii is a joke as always, and I’m glad that companies are deciding to finally bring games that had a chance at selling on REAL systems but didn’t (probably) to real systems! Here’s hoping for a Tales of Symphonia 2 and Mad World port! Or some other game I wanted to try but never came out on PS3 or Xbox.

  • @Darklurkr23: Trying to find the sarcasm in your post. If it’s actually what you think… what exactly doesn’t make the Wii a “REAL” system? It has 1st and 3rd party games in all the genres you can think of, has online gaming, it even 1ups the 360 and the PS3 with the Virtual Console.

Do get back to me on that.

  • haha i was waiting for your come back EdEN

  • @Kane112: Just need Eddie and Jay to join in as well! Hahaha.

Nintendo is always my 1st purchase and Sony has to wait 3-4 years after launch. Once Darklurker23 finishes Fire Emblem: Radiant Dawn on Wii in the highest difficulty without ANY deaths (they’re perma-deaths in case anyone is wondering) we can talk about the Wii is a kiddy system.

Kids these days. Never respectful of our gaming history. Back in the day we had to run in a treadmill for 10 hours just to power up a 30 minute gaming session and we liked it!

dude.. perma deaths are what froze me on FE GBA. I Just couldn’t take the pressure of losing people. Not knowing if I might need them later on.

and to be fair.. the Chronicles games did VERY well on Wii is what i hear. Can’t say for sure about the other games like the awesome DSE or the criminally overlooked HotD:O
