Jak And Daxter HD Collection Dated and Detailed

The Jak and Daxter HD Collection will be heading to a PS3 near you in February 2012. Naughty Dog’s Evan Wells stopped by the PlayStation blog to share the good news today. The Jak and Daxter Collection will include the first three games of the series, Jak and Daxter: The Precursor Legacy, Jak II, and Jak 3.

Also like previous HD collection this one will include individual trophies per title, remastered graphics and 3D support. Although Naughty Dog’s co-president made the announcement, the Jak and Daxter HD Collection is being handled by Mass Media, who is working closely with ND on the project.

  1. I’d pick this up if I had a 3D TV. This is one of my all time favorite platformer series, but I’ve played the games so much when I was younger, it would be hard for me to want to pick up and play them again given my already backed up list of games I still need to play.

  2. ah another hd collection that i want to pick up

  3. And this collection shall be bought by the end of 2013 or early 2014. Have to work on my backlog first!

  4. I am sorry, but am I the only one getting a bet annoyed with all these HD releases? I mean I rather hear about a new Jak and Daxter installment .. but this, this is just a bet disappointing. I was thinking may be in 2016 (hypothetically) when the PS4 already have a well established base, do you think that they will release the Resistance and Uncharted series as a (insert technology) release? lol

  5. @Cheeto: Thanks to the Sly Cooper Collection we’re now getting a new release in the series. It’s cheaper for Sony to see how much interest really is there for a new installment from the sales of the HD remake than it is to greenlight a project. PS3 game development is expensive!

nah, no one point a gun to your head and force you to buy them?

  7. Man I’m so tired of this HD collections…

  8. I’m all for allowing the younger generations to be able to play classic games. This just another collection that i’m going to pick up since i never played any Jak & Daxter game before

  9. I played these 3 already, again not that interested in doing it AGAIN even if for the trophies, but not a bad trilogy. I’d pick it up if you got nothing else on the menu 😀
