Meet Rioichi Cooper From Sly Cooper: Thieves In Time

Sanzaru Games has shared a few new details regarding the fourth installment to the Sly Cooper franchise. Thieves in Time will feature new playable characters whim we’ve only heard about throughout the series. One of those characters is Rioichi Cooper, a ninja from Feudal Japan who utilizes a technique Sly Cooper was able to learn in the first game.

In Thieves in Time Sly must travel through time to save his ancestors from an enemy interfering with the fabric of time. After being rescued by Sly, Rioichi becomes playable as one of the gang. SG has confirmed that other members of Sly’s lineage will join the group at some point in the game as well.

See more of Rioichi after the jump.

Kevin Butler Honoring PlayStation’s Greatest Gamers

If anyone has been following Kevin Butler’s twitter page, or even subscribed to his channel on YouTube, you would know about all the dedication videos he has been posting, honoring members of the PSN community, for the Hall of Play campaign. For your convenience, I have embedded a playlist for all of the videos.

So far, there are 12 13 in all. All of them a minute or more. And still hilarious. They’re each like a double shot of a Kevin Butler commercial (in fact, I think some of these show that good ol’ KB is still well in his prime, as some are better than the ads). Now here’s hoping he does one for one of us, eh?

Remember Sorcery?

That one PlayStation Move game that caught your attention when it was shown during E3 2010? Sony’s Eric Levine has told IGN that the Move exclusive game is still in development and it’s expected to be fully playable during Sony’s Holiday Showcase in New York City next month. In Sorcery you play as a young sorcerer’s apprentice who has to protect his homeland from an evil Queen.

[Review] Akimi Village

Akimi Village was a very interesting experience for me. While I was downloading it I thought this would be lame and boring, but after a couple hours I was pleasantly surprised and even played it to 100% completion and obtained all trophies which I rarely do for PSN titles.

This is a village creator game, themed around a floating island inhabited by a crazy raccoon and Akimis (very short blue guys), the art style and setting is very Japanese and made me interpret this game as a virtual sand garden, where you have to keep things tidy. This is a very relaxing game and a good getaway from all the tension of Dark Souls and the blood and gore from Dead Island (the games I have been playing lately).

Releases for the Week (November 14th-20th)

Halfway point has been reached and thus the retail releases start to pile up along with some digital stocking stuffers of Christmas past and present (sorry, nothing from Christmas future yet. Will get back to you on that one ASAP) that want to fight it out for our end of the year gaming budget.

The new Assassin’s Creed brings us a nice bonus thanks to the huge amount of space available on Bluray discs: the original Assassin’s Creed is included, absolutely free! Dead Space 2 gave us a port of the excellent Wii entry of the franchise (Dead Space Extraction) and Bioshock Infinite will give us a free copy of the first Bioshock (which is great since I didn’t get the DLC challenge rooms last time and now I can finally get 100% of all trophies).

What did you pre-order? How much are you willing to spend this week?
