PSN Re-launch Announcement “Up Date”
Posted by Jason in Gaming Industry, PSN on May 14th, 2011
Well, were almost home everybody!
I was able to sign in after a brief update with no issues. Enjoy!
Software Update:
Most regions should be able to download the new update now, which requires users to reset their PSN passwords upon singing into the PSN.
To monitor the progress of service resumption (in the states), click here.
Update:
We’re currently experiencing an extremely heavy load of password resets, and so we recently had to turn off services for approximately 30 minutes to clear the queue.
As such, a large number of people are attempting to change their passwords at the same time, it’s taking longer than expected for all those emails to clear all of the ISPs.
If you’ve requested your password reset, please give it a bit of time to reach your email. Thanks for your patience as we work to get everyone back online.

InFAMOUS 2 Graphic Novel Intro
Posted by Jay in InFamous 2, Media, QuickNews on May 13th, 2011
Like Wayne says on the popular early ’90s movie/SNL skit ‘Wayne’s World’, this video basically says “Let me bring you up to speed.” It’s, apparently, the intro cinematic for the upcoming game, InFAMOUS 2, which doesn’t show off any spoilers, but it, really, just gives you a recap of the first game and why you’re going down to New Marais. I’ve read a few comments about how some people didn’t care about Cole’s voice being done by another voice actor, until this video, but you be the judge of that.
Modern Warfare 3 Teaser Trailers Released
Posted by Jay in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3, Media on May 13th, 2011
Earlier today, Activision had released these teaser trailers for the upcoming Call of Duty title, Modern Warfare 3. Both trailers show off a couple theaters; New York City and London. No gameplay or anything is shown, but you can find tons of leaked information about the game (some factual, others not), which is all over the internet by now.
UPDATE
A Germany teaser has been released as well. Check that, as well as any other possible future teasers, after the jump.

WWE Games to Promote New SVR Features/Info With Social Media
Posted by Jay in 3rd Party Contests, QuickNews, WWE SmackDown vs Raw 2011 on May 13th, 2011
Hey wrestling/Smackdown vs Raw fans, Cory Ledesma, the WWE Games Creative Director, will be tweeting anagrams (which will be retweeted by WWE Games, as well as being posted on the WWE Games facebook page) every Friday at 11:30AM Pacific/2:30PM Eastern, starting today. The anagrams can be rearranged to form some kind of clue as to what kinds of features and stuff we can expect from this year’s title. If you can figure the anagram out (and tweet it to @WWEGames with the #WWEGames hashtag; post it in the comments section on the facebook post), you can be randomly selected to win a WWE prize.
