So it's not like MS would have to pay Sony directly or anything. The original members are: Hitachi, LG Electronics, Matsushita Industrial Electric Co., Phillips, Pioneer, Samsung, Sharp, Sony and Thompson. I know that Apple is on the board now.. and Dell, Disney, WB, Fox and i think Panasonic Sony is one of a few companies that makes up the BluRay consortium. So it’s not like MS would have to pay Sony directly or anything. The original members are:
