After a long, long, loooooooooooooong wait, Retro City Rampage is almost here! The retro-style open world game (think GTA 1-2, but with lots of awesome pixels and chiptunes) is set for a May release for both the PS3 and the PS Vita.
One-Man-Army Brian Provinciano (Vblank Entertainment) has been working on Retro City Rampage for a while now, and he’s is very happy to report that a proper release for the game is only a couple of months (or so) away.
This is the new trailer, so you can better understand what the game is all about:

As you can see, Retro City Rampage pays homage to many of the original 8-bit and 16-bit releases from back in the day. We’ll have a review for you as soon as the game releases, and we’ll continue to cover the game to keep you up to date with any relevant information.

I’ve been waiting for this game ever since it was announced, so you can imagine how happy I am to be reviewing it in a couple of months.

I have been psyched for this since I can’t remember when, but it was several years ago. It’s my birthday in May so I cannot wait!

Game doesn’t look that bad. Really reminds me of GTA2 which I’ve played a lot.

Soundtrack to the game is great. Bought it on Bandcamp last week. And there is just so many homages to 8-nit and 16-bit games packed into it that I reaaaally want to play it ASAP.

That looks insane!? Any game where the hero has a mullet is worth playing!
