Risen 2: Dark Waters GamePlay Videos

Our favorite PR Lady over at Deep Silver sent over some game-play videos for Risen 2: Dark Waters. Check out all 4 below!

Video #1 – The Pirate’s Den:
Patty meets up with her estranged Pirate Father, Captain Steelbeard, and the Nameless Hero provokes fights in the Pirate’s Den.

Video #2 – The Pirate Oath:
The Nameless Hero swears his allegiance to the Pirates, and the group sails to Tacarigua where they find trouble like a heat-seeking missile.

Video #3: Learning Voodoo
Convincing the native Shaganumbi tribe to teach the Nameless Hero voodoo is no small task! No kidnappings or mysterious substances needed to be dropped into drinks though, which is a pity.

Video #4: Using Voodoo
The Nameless Hero uses Voodoo to take control of a drunken pirate named Jim. What a sucker.

About Risen 2: Dark Waters
In Risen 2: Dark Waters, the Inquisition dispatches the hero to seek a remedy against the monstrous sea creatures that are interfering with the shipping lines, thus cutting off the islands’ supplies. The pirates seem to know how to deal with these critters … but they are hardly cooperative.
New gameplay elements add to the diversity of Risen 2; for example, players can now use firearms. And, being pirates, adventurers can also employ special new skills called Dirty Tricks, allowing them to confuse or attack enemies in combat.
Risen 2: Dark Waters will be available on April 27th 2012 for Windows PC and on May 25th 2012 for the Xbox 360® video game and entertainment system from Microsoft and PlayStation®3.
Risen 2: Dark Waters will be available via digital distribution for PC, and for both PC and consoles as a retail version, as well as a Collector’s Edition in certain territories.

Gameplay seems more slow paced than I expected, but interesting. Animations could use a bit of work, but that is comprehensible and expected. I really wish this game is good.
