Assassin’s Creed 3 Gameplay Trailer

The newest trailer for Assassin’s Creed III gives a deeper look at the franchise’s new hero. Trapped between two worlds, Connor dons the mantle of the Assassin in the fight for justice against the Templars. Sentinel, outsider, and champion, Connor defends the land against those who would infringe upon freedom and liberty.

Set against the backdrop of the American Revolution in the late 18th century, Assassin’s Creed III introduces a new hero, Ratonhnhaké:ton, of Native American and English heritage. Adopting the name Connor, he becomes the new voice for justice in the ancient war between the Assassins and Templars. Gamers become an Assassin in the war for liberty against ruthless tyranny in the most stylized and fluid combat experiences in the franchise to date. Assassin’s Creed III spans the Revolutionary War, taking gamers from the vibrant, untamed frontier to bustling colonial towns and the intense, chaotic battlefields where George Washington’s Continental Army clashed with the imposing British Army.

Assassin’s Creed 3 will be released October

looks like ac3. They really nickle and dimed this series to death already. between all the iterations and psp releases Im done with AC.

wow, they really overdone it with that much slow motion… Honestly I was hoping for something else, the only actually interesting thing here is going inside buildings and using it as passages, but I really don’t believe this will happen everywhere so…

The further in time this series gets, the more out of place the Assassin garb looks lol. I think after a couple assassinations, etc. the British would be able to pick him out of a crowd from a mile away lol. Wait until AC4, where you play an assassin in WWII, infiltrating Germany-controlled Europe :P

Is there so little parkour in the preview because the series is moving away from that game play model or because colonial Williamsburg and the like just look like silly places to jump around? And I’m with Jay — the assassin “uniform” feels entirely anachronistic. It’s no wonder everyone’s starting at the dude at 0:28-33!

I concur with the others I think they should have adapted the assassin’s uniform. Especially in this game. Something Native styled and with the trademark hood as an insignia or something. Heck give me a spirit overlay even where when he makes the kills the “spirit of the assassin” is glowing around him wearing the traditional hood.

@Jay how about 70s era America where he has to infiltrate racially charged America. It comes full circle.

Regarding all the critics about the lack of tall buildings in colonial America I refer you to my tweet.

That said I still haven’t played Assassin’s Creed.. (backlog) Only one I’m missing is the one with an ‘R’ word in the title that i can’t be bothered to remember right now.
