Releases for the Week (May 28th-June 3rd)
Posted by EdEN in PLAYSTATION Store, PlayStation Vita, PS2 Classics, PS3, PS3 software, PSN on May 29th, 2012

Things are definitely picking up before the onslaught that is E3, and VITA has decided to show up once again at retail in order to bring us Resistance: Burning Skies. Sure, the game will also be available on PSN, but you look like the kind of person that likes to own a physical copy for most of his games. We also get the winner for “Retail Box with Most Quotes”, as well as Atelier Meturu: The Apprentice of Arland, the last game in the trilogy that started with Atelier Rorona and continued with Atelier Totori.
PSN also brings us a new release with Pure Chess, as well as digital releases for two retail games.

Posted by Jay in Community, Games Media Awards, QuickNews on May 27th, 2012
We’re aiming to get nominated for two categories at the GMA’s this October. If you would like to help us (please do!), the categories are: Games Blog and Games Radio and Podcast. Show your support for our site and our excellent podcasts!
To enter, you simply just have to email [email protected] with the name of our site, link, and at least one of those categories (but you know you love us enough for both nominations). You must get your nominations sent in by July 20th. In the case that we get a nomination, and win an award, our man Madagasca will be there to pic it up for us. Thanks for the help everyone!
Check here for other available categories.
Demon’s Souls North American Server Support Extended for Foreseeable Future
Posted by Jay in Demons Souls, Press Release, QuickNews on May 25th, 2012
If you recall, back in April, we told you about Demon’s Souls servers being shut down this month. However, due to complaints from fans, the servers will be kept up for the foreseeable future. Atlus’ VP of Marketing and Sales, Tim Pivnicny, had this to say:
“We’re incredibly excited to be able to announce that the Demon’s Souls online experience will persist for a while longer. While it originally seemed as though it would be unfeasible for us to continue to sustain the servers, a number of developments have made it possible for us to continue to invest in and support our fans as they have continued to invest in and support us and Demon’s Souls. For all the gamers who have yet to discover the game’s amazing online experience, we’re happy to say you can still log on and find out why Demon’s Souls is still regarded by many as one of the finest games of all time.”
This means, if you had not picked this up and wanted to be able to play the title online, the server shutdown will not be a problem. Check after the jump for the whole press release.
