There are questions to be asked here. Are these wonderbooks Pure AR codes? Because the codes obviously take up the whole page. (it only makes sense to maximize the size to ensure accuracy. But is EVERY page an AR codes? Is there a story you can read maybe after or before the AR codes? If not that limits the audience. Unlike those read-along books which CAN be read outside of the device, these would be useless outside of the living room.

This works best if they put the price in the books. Make the WonderBook application like $5 on PSN (if they want to go really hard and make this sell; else maybe $20 or since this is a new generation where $30 is now cheap? $30) and then put the price on the books. Maybe includes one time redemption codes for asset downloads. (though frankly if you're redeeming the codes for asset downloads it shouldn't be $30 for the game)

that's how this should work. Instead what will happen is the game will be $60 includes maybe a book or two if you're lucky. Then it will die. At the high price it has to work better and if there's one thing I've learned about this industry is that no one puts a premium on making things work better [See the rise of Day 1 Patches; release day internet problems even after "betas"; Eye of Judgement] (not be a fanboy.. but outside of Nintendo who make terrible choices but the choices they do make work very consistently)
