Releases for the Week (June 18th-24th) | PS3Blog.net

Did E3 end already? Mmm, think something was missing. Oh well. PS3 and Vita each get one new release this week, and one of them will allow you to get a free ticket to see the movie on which it is based.

On PSN, we get two retail games now available for digital purchase, as well as PSOne Classic Tomba from Monkey Paw Games, and Magic the Gathering: Duels of the Planeswalkers 2013… and we can now FINALLY manually tap land! No more having to deal with the AI auto-tapping your land, no sir. Now, you’re playing with power!

No minis or PS2 classics this week, so be sure to plan accordingly.

  1. Damn they are shipping new games out QUICK to the PSN. Ghost Recon came out like 2 weeks ago and it’s already Downloadble? I seriously starting ot consider the end of discs in the later years πŸ™

  2. @Darklurkr23: Not really. I’ve been downloading the “instant collection” games, and Infamous 2 is STILL downloading (huuuuuge game at 14 GB). Unless we all get free Internet at 100 MB per second (without monthly caps), downloading 10+ GB games won’t be a reality.

  3. wolfkin

one of many many many reasons why the “all digital console” is the most terrible idea that every pundit overhypes.

  4. I’ll buy digital once they are only $20 vs $60.. until then forget it.

  5. Only digital games I’ve paid for were the Borderlands bundle and the ACII bundle. I both love and hate digital. It’s convenient just being able to start up a game w/o the disc, but I love backups and hard copies.

  6. My digital vs retail games have been Borderlands GOTY (at $15), LA Noire Complete ($24), and the ones we got from the hack and the “instant collection”. Other than that, unless they are extremely cheap vs retail (as Oly said), I’m not buying a $50+ game that will take 3 days to download with my connection.

  7. the lack of zen pinball in this post is upsetting. Avengers tables out tomorrow. Can’t wait.

  8. @Eddie: Since it’s, it is harder to keep track of. On that note, there is a new patch for Sumioni out with extra levels and fixes you might want to try.

  9. yea reading that now. Going to update that.

  10. @premiersoupir can we expect a MtG review? I think this is the perfect time to get on the boat!

  11. The deal this week they have for Plus members and Red Dead Redemption is awesome. While I won’t buy a game digitally for PS3 new releases, I do like the 60 minute game trial. I’ll be downloading that for Ghost Recon to see how it is.

  12. ah nothing too much except fromTombi

  13. @pedrolabate: most definitely! πŸ™‚ the new version promises to be much improved in many ways. and wizrds will be previewing some of the cards from the m13 core set, which is due out at the beginning of july. I’m out of the country at the moment, but as soon as I’m back home, I’ll be purchasing the new duels!

  14. @premiersoupir awesome! I can’t wait for your review, if I get some ps3 time I’ll certainly be purchasing this game.
