Dishonored “Daring Escapes” Video |

I played Dishonored at E3, and found it to be quite fun. One of the things they pointed out to me was that there are many different methods to face any situation. This video is a great example of that.

In this video, Corvo is detected by the guards at the Boyle Mansion and must find a way to escape. The video showcases three possible routes using Blink, Bend Time and Possession – three of the many supernatural abilities you’ll gain access to as you play through the game.

Dishonored, the first person action game from Arkane studios, casts you as a supernatural assassin driven by revenge. Creatively eliminate your targets with the flexible combat system as you combine supernatural abilities with weapons and gadgets at your disposal. Pursue your targets under the cover of darkness or ruthlessly attack them head on with weapons drawn. The outcome of each mission plays out based on the choices you make.

Dishonored will be available in North America on October 9, 2012 and throughout Europe on October 12, 2012.

The Game looks really nice, vary tactical and an interesting Steam Punk atmosphere. I think in a trailer though, if you’re going to show how effective an escape mesure is then you have to better at not being shot… Also (tell me if I’m wrong) the three abilities shown are pretty much a cop-out, ok the guy showed you what you could do with them but let me run this by you:

Long Jump: Just run, teleporting yourself closer to the river with every jump.

Sleep Tight: Freeze time and run, just shoot any guard that comes close with the poison dart for good mesure.

Chain Possession: Possess a body, and just run!

  • hmmm looks interesting hopefully there will be a demo

  • So excited about this game, I hope it’s all it seems. I love stealth action, just add some supernatural powers and we’ve got a “Pedro’s MET of 2012” award right there.

  • So weird, the more I see of this game, the less interested I get.
