Playstation Plus Subscribers – Your August Content Is Almost Partially Here

When the store updates tomorrow, PS+ subscribers will be able to purchase The Expendables 2 at a 20% discount, as well as have it count towards the PSN Play promo. What else is there for the soon to arrive month of August? Well, you’ll get not one but TWO free episodes from Telltale’s awesome The Walking Dead series! You will also get a 20% discount on Sound Shapes, so be sure to have your account ready for these purchases. There will be another update in a week to let us know of the rest of the PS+ content for August. Also, don’t forget to download all the games currently available in the Instant Collection, or else you might miss out on some of them when the update hits on August 7th.

Well here we are a little late this week, we had some scheduling issues, but it’s a good one! We give away a code for a free month of PlayStation Plus so be sure to listen out for that. I’ll be giving away the rest of the codes next week on the podcast as well as other methods which I will announce. In the mean time pay close attention to PS3Blog.net’s Facebook page for more code giveaways from Oly!

Dishonored “Daring Escapes” Video

I played Dishonored at E3, and found it to be quite fun. One of the things they pointed out to me was that there are many different methods to face any situation. This video is a great example of that.
In this video, Corvo is detected by the guards at the Boyle Mansion and must find a way to escape. The video showcases three possible routes using Blink, Bend Time and Possession – three of the many supernatural abilities you’ll gain access to as you play through the game.

Darksiders II: “Death Comes for All” Gameplay Video

“Launching on Aug. 14, 2012, Darksiders II follows the exploits of Death, one of the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse, in an action-packed tale that runs parallel to the events in the original Darksiders game. This epic journey propels Death through various light and dark realms as he tries to redeem his brother War, the Horseman blamed for prematurely starting the Apocalypse in Darksiders.”
I had a chance to play this at E3 and again at Comic Con, and it pleasantly surprised me. I actually went out and bought the first one to play through it before I pick this up on August 14th. Great game!
