Sleeping Dogs Walkthrough Trailer: Mrs. Chu’s Revenge

In the back room of the Golden Koi, the restaurant is far from Mrs Chu’s mind. With her close friend dead, murdered at her own wedding, it’s revenge that needs serving. With one of the gunmen known to Wei, an explosive mission unfolds across the streets of Hong Kong . In this latest trailer, producer Dan Sochan walks us through some of Sleeping Dogs’ best-in-class combat.

Developed by United Front Games in collaboration with Square Enix London Studios, Sleeping Dogs is a gritty and visceral open world cop drama set in the vibrant city of Hong Kong. Taking the role of undercover cop Wei Shen, players are tasked with taking down one of the world’s most fearsome criminal organisations from the inside. Offering players an island packed with action, every street corner, market stall, harbour dock or city skyscraper can become an opportunity for intense shoot-outs, adrenaline-fuelled street races and intense, brutal martial arts combat. Featuring one of the most intuitive and imaginative combat systems, Sleeping Dogs empowers players to perform an extensive set of martial arts moves, singlehandedly taking on numerous opponents. Players perform bone-crunching kicks and combos, vicious counters and a cinematic set of environmental takedowns making use of countless real-world items from circular saws to phone booths, incinerators to refrigerator doors.

Sleeping Dogs will be available from 17th August 2012 for the PlayStation 3

The game show a lot of potential, what do you think?

[PSN Review] Quantum Conundrum

Quantum Conundrum is a first-person puzzle-platform video game developed by Airtight Games and published by Square Enix. It was designed by Kim Swift, who formerly worked at Valve as a lead designer on Portal. There are many similarities to Portal that can not be overlooked, but that is a very good thing. Although similar in some ways, it is definitely unique in others.

[PS3 Preview] Lost Planet 3

Capcom is treating Lost Planet 3 in a similar fashion to DMC: Devil May Cry by outsourcing the development to a Western studio: Spark Unlimited and at the same time giving it a bit of a reboot. Lost Planet 3 though, is a prequel rather than a full blown reimagining revealing the origins of Human colonisation on E.D.N. III. I got the chance to get my hands on a demo build of Lost Planet 3 to see if the series is back on track or if it should have been left out in the cold.

[Giveaway] Enter to Win Order Up!! – More Than One Way [Update]

Ceidz reviewed Order Up!!, and he thought it was a fun and addictive game that kept him hooked for hours, and would perfectly compliment your PlayStation Move (it’s also DualShock 3 compatible)! SuperVillain Studios has kindly decided to give us THREE PSN codes for our readers to win! Keep in mind, despite being US codes, this contest is still open internationally. You will just need a US PSN account.

Anyway, we’re setting this one up a bit differently. There is, of course, the system we’ve been using for months (you know, purchase a raffle ticket or two, add in social entries, etc), but for that part of the giveaway, only one code will be the prize. We’re reserving the other two for a more creative approach.

To get one of the two other codes, leave a reply here with your favorite recipe. I’m talking the list of ingredients, preparation, etc. This will count as an entry. There will be bonus entries as well. The way you get a bonus entry is by making a video of your favorite dish being made, or having been made (with, you know, an acknowledgement of our site in said video). Leave a link here to be credited for the entry. And yes, these videos will be valid for the lottery system as video entries as well.

Contest ends at 11:59PM PST on the 20th. Check after the jump for your Lottery entry details. Good luck and have fun!

Lottery Winner

Since we only had two entrants for the recipe portion of the giveaway, I’ve decided to extend that one another week (ending Friday night) in an effort to get more folks to enter that way, as we are giving two codes away for that portion. As far as the lottery portion goes, we had a total of 57 entries. After shuffling the logs, our system randomly selected a winner. That winner is:

hobbes – Google+ Entry

Congratulation hobbes! There will be no more extensions to the post-your-recipe, 2 code giveaway, so if no one else enters, insight and tedrabear will automatically win. Remember, posting a link to a youtube video of you mentioning PS3Blog.net and showing off your favorite dish counts as an extra entry in this giveaway.
