Dead Island Riptide

The sequel to Dead Island has now been fully revealed by Deep Silver, and I’m sure all Dead Island fans will be thrilled to know that their characters from the first game can be imported into the sequel! Not only that, but you’ll also be able to pick a 5th character that will bring new abilities to the table.

Having survived the ordeals of the zombie infestation on the once beautiful island resort of Banoi, our group of survivors thought they had finally found a safe place to escape from this terrifying nightmare. But they were wrong. Shortly after the battle-hardened team had landed their helicopter on a military ship, a furious storm hits and havoc quickly spreads on board. Suddenly they find themselves struggling for their lives again with all hope drowning in the rising waves.

There will also be a new “hub defense” set of missions. Think of it as dead island tower defense against the zombie onslaught. Your group must truly work as a team in order to set the traps, fences, defense turrets, etc., in order to protect the surviving humans.

Dead Island Riptide is set for release in 2013. We’ll keep you up to date with any new information, screens or trailer that are released, so be sure to stick around!

Not sure I’d pick this up. I didn’t much care for the first one. Maybe as a rental I’d check it out, though.

I loved the first one and played it with my cousin for 20 hours before I decided to buy it. Still need to get back to it from the start, but I’ve got plenty of time until the sequel is out.

I really enjoyed Dead Island, but there’s a lot of things that had to change for me to be seriously interested in a second game.

I like how it allows you to transfer over your data from the first one. I enjoyed playing the first one with my Cousin (played the entire thing with him) I just hope they fix some of the issues the first game had.
