Cloud Storage For Saves Will Increase to 1GB With PS3 System Update – v4.25 |

A new System Update will soon be available for PS3, and it will unlock an increase in Could Storage for your Saves. The current limit is 150MB which, while nice, means there are a handful of saves you won’t be able to backup in the cloud. Once the increase to 1GB goes live, you certainly won’t ever run into a problem again.

  • Do you know if anything else will be included in this new firmware ?

  • So far it is all the info we have. As always, it will include “some behind the scenes improvements”, whatever they are.

thank god. tired of skyrim sucking up my space!

  • Finally! I have about 300 MB of Fallout NV saved games and other 300 MB of Skyrim saves, it’s about time we get this (even though I’m still waiting for this service in my BR account)…

  • @pedrolabate: Can you copy the saves to a USB and then copy them to your US account to the cloud? Sure, some are protected, but not all of them, right?

  • @eden : yes, you are correct. Actually you don’t even need to do all that. If the file is not protected you can create copies of it on different accounts by clicking on the file, but I guess going through all this trouble is why we use auto cloud save, right?

  • Well, I don’t use Auto Cloud Backup for a simple reason: if your save file on your PS3 is corrupted, and then it backs up to the cloud, you’re screwed. I always manually backup, and only after checking that the file is not broken.

  • Yay!

  • I am happy because I had only 39mb of 150. Now I don’t have to worry about it!

  • nice, was going to run out of room very soon.

  • I’ll be betting Afrika to celebrate, since the save file is 300MB+ hahaha.

  • Eddie

450mb of save files have been uploaded!
