Try Your Luck At The New Point Slot Machine
Posted by Tosh in Community, New Features on September 27th, 2012

Spent the last couple days finishing up this idea that has been on the back burner for a while now. We now have a point slot machine! You get 1 spin a day. But in order to unlock it each day you must do two things.
Get your daily chatroom points.
Post in the forum within the past 24 hours.
Once you do that, you have access to spin. Normally there is a 1 in 25 chance of getting 7 slots instead of the normal 3. But, say for example 5 people where in the chatroom recently. You would now have a 1 in 20 chance of getting 7 slots. So the more people in the chatroom, you have better odds of getting the full 7 slots and a chance for a lot of points.
PS3BlogCast Episode 62
Posted by Clint in Media, PS3, PS3BlogCast, Talk on September 26th, 2012
We’re back again after a two week hiatus. We’re still not set in stone on a day of the week and who will be coming in more permanently, but we have a podcast this week thanks to Isli and MissXya.
This marks a first on the podcast, as MissXya is the first lady to ever appear on the podcast! So please welcome her and perhaps she’ll be able to appear on some future ones. She’s been on the site, quietly, for a few months now but I’ve known her for a long time through Final Fantasy 11. She is also a heavy player of Final Fantasy 14, and with the beta for the PS3 version coming sometime in the next few months I thought it would be nice to have someone with some insight on how the game stands right now.
EXPLICIT: The following podcast contains some language that might be offensive to others and the views of the people on the podcast do not represent the views of the site or the community. Enjoy.

Mass Effect Trilogy Announced (PS3 Included)
Posted by wolfkin in Mass Effect 2, Mass Effect 3, Press Release on September 26th, 2012

This is the Mass Effect Trilogy vignette. It is massive and will have effect upon you.
Bioware have announced a Mass Effect Trilogy is to be released. This set will include all three Mass Effect Games for the single price of $59.99. It is set to be released on Xbox 360 and PC on November 6th. More importantly to us is that this set will be released on PS3 at a yet to be determined date and will include all three games, making it the first time that the original Mass Effect will be available on the Playstation 3.
Although a date hasn’t been given for the PS3 release, Bioware has announced that Mass Effect will be made available as a standalone PSN title that will include trophy support.
All my fellow backlog gamers who haven’t yet dipped their toes into the Mass Effect, will finally have the opportunity. For me, this is one less reason to acquire another console. Personally, in an utterly rare show of enthusiasm, I think this might be the first game I will have pre-ordered in 5+ years, or at the very least, I think I’ll buy this week 1.
Bioware also announced the very first annual N7 day on November 7th, which will include: in-game, online and other live events to be announced closer to release date.
Over 75 hours of Mass Effect finally on our console of choice. Are you excited? Has it been too long? Have you already bought and/or played any of the games yet? Let us know in the comments below.
