After yesterday’s news, THQ is no more. Most of the publisher’s IP and studios were sold yesterday to several bidders and Koch Media, parent company of Deep Silver, has secure the rights to two of the most popular and best selling franchises from THQ’s catalog: Saints Row and Metro! If you thought Saints Row The Third was crazy and couldn’t possibly be more over the top… I’m sure Deep Silver will accept your challenge and prove you wrong!
But wait, there is more! Koch Media also acquired Chicago-based development studio Volition who is currently working on the next Saints Row, as well a still unannounced IP. Volition has been the developer for all Saints Row games, and it has also worked on Red Faction series.
What do yo think about this new beginning for both franchises?

Bakersfield, CA isn’t particularly known for anything spectacular (unless you’re a fan of country music… I guess), so when the first Bak-Anime convention popped up here a couple years ago I wasn’t surprised that it was fairly lackluster. Well all cons start somewhere, and it was a quite a shock to see almost 1400 people packed into the halls of a Marriott for this small one-day convention. I didn’t even know that many anime/comic/video game fans existed in or around Bakersfield (shows you how much I get out).
Though I suppose the announcement of special guest Roger Craig Smith helped to boost the attendance. I didn’t believe it at first, but once I saw Roger himself confirm the announcement I had all of my Assassin’s Creed games, posters and figures laid out as I decided what I wanted him to sign.
Did I mention I’m a huge fan of Ezio? Well, I’m a huge fan of Ezio.
