[Expired] Final Fantasy games at half price on the PSN (two whole weeks!)

Final Fantasy 25th anniversary sale

EDIT: Expired !

Just in case you missed this news, Square-Enix is having a sale going on the PSN for the 25th anniversary of the Final Fantasy franchise. This sale is only up for two weeks, so it’ll be over before you know it if you don’t act fast!

I noticed that this deal is not featured on the PS Store directly: you’ll probably have to search for the games specifically in order to buy them!

Here is the complete list of discounted games:

  • DISSIDIA 012[duodecim] FINAL FANTASY (PSP) – 9.99$
  • DISSIDIA DUODECIM PROLOGUS FINAL FANTASY (PSP) – 1.49$
  • DISSIDIA FINAL FANTASY (PSP) – 9.99$
  • FINAL FANTASY Tactics: War of Lions (PSP) – 4.99$
  • Final Fantasy (PSOne Classics) – 4.99$
  • Final Fantasy II (PSOne Classics) – 4.99$
  • FINAL FANTASY IV: Complete Collection (PSP) – 9.99$
  • Final Fantasy V (PSOne Classics) – 4.99$
  • Final Fantasy VI (PSOne Classics) – 4.99$
  • Final Fantasy VII (PSOne Classics) – 4.99$
  • Final Fantasy VIII (PSOne Classics) – 4.99$
  • Final Fantasy IX (PSOne Classics) – 4.99$

I just bought Final Fantasy VIII because it had been a while I wanted to replay this awesome game!
Final Fantasy IV: The Complete Collection (featuring a 70h-long campaign) and Final Fantasy Tactics: War of the Lions are also a steal at this price!

Are any of you interested in this sale? If so, what would you buy?

I might pick up 9. It’s overlooked, but I love the old schoolness of it. I wish they would continue that. Do they all work on Vita?

turns out i already own most of these games.. actually all of them except the PSP ones and I do own tactics.. with IV being so expensive and Dissidia having zero interest with me that means this is one sale that I will be completely passing on.

The_Nmac- FF9 is my favorite and it is also the most underrated one imo. Everyone loves 7. But these are all a steal. I got 7, 8, and 9 when they were full price. I got 5 and 6 from PS+ so yea and i don’t have a psp/vita so yea again.

@tunglashor: FF9 was incredible, but I already own it.

A quick note about DISSIDIA DUODECIM PROLOGUS FINAL FANTASY.
Even if it’s 1.49$, stay clear from this one, it’s only a 20-minutes paid demo.

I’m probably going to purchase 7. Does anyone have an exact date on when this sale will end, or a source from Sony saying so?

I don’t want to be screwed like I was last time with Unfinished Swan where the sale ended the day I got paid, and went back to full price.

    Thanks!

@skott: I don’t know the precise date, but the sales is “running for two weeks”.
My guess is that the last day would be Monday, February 18th.

i object to the term ‘only’. it should be two whole weeks to emphasize how awesome it is that they’re extending it beyond the normal one week.

At that price, I ended up picking Final Fantasy IX since it is my favorite PSX Final Fantasy and not having to swap discs is great.
