XBlaze Code: Embryo Will Be Released in the US |

Aksys Games just got in touch with us to let us know that a new Visual Novel release set in the BlazBlue universe is coming to both PS3 AND Vita! We still don’t have a solid release date (other than Summer 2014), so be sure to check back to where we will keep you posted on any updates for this title.

Set 150 years prior to the events in BlazBlue, XBlaze Code: Embryo follows Touya Kagari, a high school student who finds himself embroiled in events beyond his understanding when he’s attacked out of the blue. A girl called Es appears and protects him, but then refuses to leave, claiming her mission is to ensure his safety. Suddenly thrown into a world of magic and the supernatural, Touya will struggle to uncover a hidden truth.

* A Compelling Visual Novel – Created for fans of visual novels and BlazBlue alike, XBlaze Code: Embryo features a completely new story based in the BlazBlue universe.

* An Innovative New Path System – The unique “TOi” system brings information about your surroundings to your fingertips! Touya’s path will change depending on what you choose to read.

* Get Immersed – XBlaze Code: Embryo offers several endings and routes, including a gag one!

  • Ooooh ! A Visual Novel ? Bring it on !

At times like this I wonder if it’s so hard to release a colored comic book and get revenue out of it that they decide to release it in digital format.

    Any pricing hinted at?

  • @Kicks: Amazon has it at $39.99

    Ow… Hope that’s a placeholder

  • @Kicks: It’s a reasonable price. I just reviewed Danganronpa on Vita (awesome game!) and the price is $39.99.

As long as it’s a good game with a ton of content (again, Danganronpa and Corpse Party fall into that catergory), then the price is right.

  • 40 dollars for a storybook? Geat out of here. MAYBE 5 bucks

  • @Darklurkr23: You’ve never played a visual novel, huh?
