Persona 4 (PS2 Classic) will release on the PSN this week |

Did you miss Shin Megami Tensei: Persona 4 back when it released on the Playstation 2 in 2008? Don’t own a PS Vita to play the awesome Persona 4: Golden version that was released in 2012?

Well, I’ve got some good news! Atlus U.S.A. has announced that the PS2 version of Persona 4 will release on the PSN tuesday! They even stated that the game will release 3 days before the game events, so “super-dedicated players” will have the possibility to relive Persona 4 following the game calendar events!

I loved Persona 4: Golden when I reviewed it last year, and since Persona 5 is coming to the Playstation 3 in late 2015, this is the perfect opportunity for newcomers to try this awesome JRPG!

Press Release:

So the ESRB post everyone seemed to find earlier this week told you that Persona 4 was coming to PlayStation 3 as a PS2 Classic, but it didn’t tell you when, did it? It didn’t, but we’re going to go ahead and tell you anyways.

Persona 4 will be available to download on PlayStation Network beginning April 8!

Astute fans will recognize the date is three days before the main character transfers to Yasogami High School, so if you’re the type of super-dedicated player that wants to play the game exactly to the calendar date, there’s still time!

  • I played P4G on the Vita and loved it. Probably won’t go back to this, but this is a great opportunity for fans to jump on board and get caught up before Persona 5 next year.

  • I ended up skipping Persona 4 on PS2, but ended up buying the Vita version.
