Playstation Now Subscription Model Announced

Sony has finally decided to announce their plans for a subscription model for the Playstation Now service. The rental portion of Playstation Now will still exist, but now gamers will get a chance to get either a one month subscription or a three month subscription to get access to 100 PS3 games.

The one month subscription will cost $19.99 and the three month subscription will be $44.99 (basically making each month less than $15, saving gamers $5 per month). As you can see from the image below, subscribers will be able to play more than 100 games, streaming directly to their PS4… and yes, this does mean that PS Now will only be available in the short term on PlayStation 4. But don’t worry, PS Now is also coming to PS3 and eventually to PS Vita and PS TV as well!

Ah! A subscription model is way better than the pay-per-title model that was initially proposed! Great job Sony, but still a little expensive!
