PS Plus Update for January
Here is January’s PS+ Line-up! Honestly this is not one of the best month for the PS+ service, but there is some stuff to be excited for: one of the PS3’s best RPGs, an adventure game to rediscover and a fun physics-based puzzle game are yours to play for free thanks to PS+.
PlayStation Plus Free PS4 Games Lineup January 2016
As you can see, they are:
Dragon Age: Origins (PS3)
Discover the groundbreaking RPG, winner of more than 50 awards including more than 30 ‘Game of the Year’ awards! You are a Grey Warden, one of the last of a legendary order of guardians. With the return of mankind’s ancient foe and the kingdom engulfed in civil war, you have been chosen by fate to unite the shattered lands and slay the archdemon once and for all. Explore a stunning world, make complex moral choices, and engage in bone-crushing visceral combat against massive and terrifying creatures.
Grim Fandango Remastered (PS4/PS Vita)
Something’s rotten in the land of the dead, and you’re being played for a sucker. Meet Manny Calavera, travel agent at the Department of Death. He sells luxury packages to souls on their four-year journey to eternal rest. But there’s trouble in paradise. Help Manny untangle himself from a conspiracy that threatens his very salvation.
Hardware: Rivals (PS4)
Plow through a range of unique combat arenas, claiming bounties, completing Challenges and wreaking terrible vengeance upon old adversaries. With multiple battle modes, regular community events and a range of perks to unlock as you progress, there’ll always be a chance to settle the score.
Legends of War Patton (PS Vita)
A turn-based strategy game like no other, HISTORY® Legends of War combines strategy, tactics & RPG elements with exciting 3D action, immersing you in the bloody conflicts of WW2 from the beaches of Normandy to the war torn streets of Berlin!
Medal of Honor Warfighter (PS3)
MEDAL OF HONOR™ WARFIGHTER is a First-Person Shooter featuring covert Tier 1 military operative combat. The game is a sequel to the 2010 release, Medal of Honor, which moved the long-running game series from its roots in WWII based gameplay, into modern warfare scenarios and true-to-life conflicts. The single-player campaign features mission play involving returning characters ”Mother,” ”Preacher,” ”Voodoo” and others in operations after their service in Afghanistan. Multiplayer modes include 2-20 player support in which players have the ability to play as one of 13 real special ops units, from 10 countries.
Nihilumbra (PS Vita)
Discover the beautiful world of Nihilumbra and join Born on his adventure to find himself whilst trying to escape from his inevitable curse.
Born was created from the absolute nothingness: The Void. But somehow he separates himself from the black emptiness and appears in the world. This is where his long odyssey begins, in which he will learn how to use the colors around him to gain powerful abilities and transform the world.
We really liked both Grim Fandango and Nihilumbra as you can see from their reviews, so they’re definitely games you’ll enjoy. Dragon Age: Origins is a fun game to play and a great place to start if you haven’t experienced any of the games in the series. Hardware Rivals will make it’s console debut on plus free which is always good to see. I’m honestly mixed on the MOH: Warfighter and Legends of War: Patton, but they will have their audiences.
What are you guys looking forward to playing from this month’s selections?
