PS-Plus-Logo

Get ready for another solid month of PS Plus games with the debut of a new PS4 game, a fun Saints Row Spinoff, and an interesting Vita RPG leading the way. Let’s see what July brings!!!

PlayStation Plus Free PS4 Games Lineup July 2016

As you can see, they are:

Furi(PS4)

Fight your way free in our frenzied all-boss fighter, and discover what’s waiting behind the last gate. Furi is all about the tension of one-on-one fights against deadly adversaries. It’s an intense, ultra-responsive game with a unique mix of fast-paced sword fighting and dual-stick shooting. Each of the formidable guardians —designed by Afro Samurai creator Takashi Okazaki— has a unique and surprising combat style that requires focus and skill to defeat. The high-energy action gets a boost from an explosive soundtrack composed by electro musicians including Carpenter Brut.

Saints Row: Gat out of Hell(PS4)

After the antics of Saints Row IV, many fans asked what we could do next… the answer? Shoot The Devil in the face. Play as either Johnny Gat or Kinzie as you tear apart Hell in a quest to save the Boss’ soul. Historical icons, old friends, older enemies, a talking gun, a full length musical number, and a whole lot of other shenanigans all await you in this open world standalone expansion playground.

Key features:
• Soar through the air on fallen angel’s wings, summon devilish imps to attack your foes, and surround yourself in a divine aura that forces all to worship you.
• Wage war in the 5 unique districts of hell any way you want: rescue allies, pick a fight with nightmarish Arch-Dukes, rob Satan’s soul processing plants… dozens of options await
• Featuring arsenal of underworld themed arms: fire exploding frogs at enemies, shoot swarms of locusts, and even deal destruction from afterlife’s most comfortable (and lethal) armchair.

Call of Juarez: Bound in Blood (PS3)

In the remote and deadly Wild West, the outlaw McCall brothers are on a quest for the legendary Gold of Juarez. In their journey across a vast landscape, these lawless gunslingers will stop at nothing to achieve their goal. Arm yourself with pistols, cannons, machine guns and more as you strike out on a mission with two fearless compatriots whose bonds of blood are only strengthened by the blood they spill together.

Join Ray and Thomas McCall on a doomed quest for the Gold of Juarez. Play as either Ray or Thomas and become a true gunslinger by using each brother’s distinctive skills to help you overcome amoral outlaw opponents like a renegade Apache chief, a greedy Mexican bandit and a vindictive colonel. Then take the fight online for intense multiplayer action with unique modes, numerous maps and a variety of classes designed to provide a thrilling Wild West experience. Take on the Old West today.

Fat Princess(PS3)
Rescue your beloved princess through teamwork in this comic medieval battle royale. There’s a catch, though—the other team has been feeding her magical cake, making her harder to escort back to your castle. Charge head first into battle, heal teammates as they break through enemy lines, and upgrade your team and the castle defenses as you work with your team to save your princess.

Oreshika: Tainted Bloodlines(PS Vita)

Guide your clan over multiple generations on an epic quest to lift a curse against your bloodline, battling cruel enemies and spectacular bosses in this beautiful watercolor turn-based RPG set in ancient Japan.

• Unite with gods inspired by Japanese mythology to ensure each new generation is more powerful than the last.
• Choose from 8 unique classes for the warriors of your clan, including Fencer, Martial Artist and Gunner.
• Beautiful graphics deliver a rich world like a Japanese watercolor painting come to life
• Use the PS Vita system’s camera to take a picture of yourself and create a clan leader modeled after your own appearance who spawns generations of warriors throughout your quest.
• Interact with your friends’ in-game lands to buy exotic items and encounter rare gods to aid you in your adventure.

Prince of Persia: Revelation (PSP/PS Vita)

Hunted mercilessly by Fate’s demon forces, the Prince must embark on an impossible odyssey to defy his preordained death. Only by unleashing a devastating new combat art can he awaken the warrior within him – and emerge with his life.

– More than 20 new levels and maps.
– Devise vicious new combos using melee weapons, projectiles, walls, and more.
– Journey through non-linear environments and engage in soul-shattering boss battles.

————————————————————————————————————————————————-

Once again we get a solid a month on the upswing with the PS Plus offerings. Furi is a game with nothing but boss fights which sounds fun, and reminding me of why I loved Shadows of the Colossus. Saints Row: Gat out of Hell should be a fun diversion on PS4 featuring one of the series favorite characters. Oreshinka: Tainted Bloodlines sounds interesting, and Tracey had a lot of fun with it. I still wish we were not being given PSP games instead of proper Vita titles. Hopefully this is fixed soon.

What are you guys looking forward to playing from this month’s PS Plus selections? Let us know in the comments below!
