PS Plus Update – Free Games For October 2016

Another month of PS Plus is here and they definitely did a great job for games in October! Click after the break to see what is free this month.

PlayStation Plus Free PS4 Games Lineup October 2016

As you can see, they are:

Resident Evil(PS4)

The game that defined the survival-horror genre is back! Check out the remastered HD version of Resident Evil.

In 1998 a special forces team is sent to investigate some bizarre murders on the outskirts of Raccoon City. Upon arriving they are attacked by a pack of blood-thirsty dogs and are forced to take cover in a nearby mansion. But the scent of death hangs heavy in the air. Supplies are scarce as they struggle to stay alive.

Transformers: Devastation(PS4)

The TRANSFORMERS are back, and this time they’re in the hands of acclaimed developer PlatinumGames, who has married their over-the-top brawler action with comic book inspired art to create a TRANSFORMERS game like none other.

– Surprise the enemy: PlatinumGames signature fast action allows instant robot to vehicle attacks, slam downs, counterattacks, and infinite combos for a unique master combat system.
– Actors from the original TV series: Reprising their roles are Peter Cullen (OPTIMUS PRIME), Dan Gilvezan (BUMBLEBEE), Frank Welker (MEGATRON and SOUNDWAVE), and more.
– Play again and again: 5 difficulty levels with overhauls in enemy composition, combined with a deep customization system, means hours of intense gameplay.

Mad Riders(PS3)

Mad Riders™ is an adrenaline-fueled off-road arcade racing game that sets new standards for the racing genre on PlayStation®Network. Perform aerial stunts, use your boost wisely, and open shortcuts to dominate your friends on 45 tracks in stunning tropical locations across the globe. The game’s breathtaking speed and stylized gameplay allows players of all skills to instantly pick up on the fun, while the competitive multiplayer and customization options will keep you coming back.

From Dust(PS3)

Discover a unique Modern God game where nature is the star: From Dust™, the latest original concept by Eric Chahi, visionary creator of Another World.

Behold the beauty of a primitive world and face the might of nature.
Beware the danger of a constantly changing world under your command.
Control the destiny of a tribe struggling to survive and help it recover its ancestors’ lost powers.

Immerse yourself in a world as exotically beautiful as it is dangerous. A universe where Nature reclaims what is Hers; and you are your people’s only chance of survival.

Code: Realize ~Guardian of Rebirth~(PS Vita)

Restricted to an abandoned mansion on the outskirts of London in fulfillment of a promise to her father, lonely Cardia lives day to day isolated from the world. Her body carries a deadly poison that rots or melts anything her skin touches, prompting the locals to call her a “monster.”

Play as Cardia, a beautiful young woman whose poisonous touch means imminent death, and unravel the secrets of her past with the help of five charming guys!

Actual Sunlight(PS Vita)

“I know what you’re thinking: Why keep getting up, day in and day out, even though your life is going nowhere?”

Notorious: Widely considered to be one of the bleakest and best-written experiences in indie gaming, Actual Sunlight challenges you to confront the life of Evan Winter: An overweight, lonely and severely depressed young professional.

Fear the words, not the reading: Presented almost entirely in text, a mixture of sharp observation and pitch black humor captures your interest from provocative beginning to shattering conclusion.

Prepare yourself: Actual Sunlight is a uniquely unforgettable adventure that will etch itself into you as one of the most difficult, haunting and beautiful experiences you have ever had as a gamer.

Another great month for PS Plus with the recent Resident Evil Remake HD and Transformers: Devastation coming free to PS4. I’m not too familiar with the PS3 offerings but they look interesting, and we’re getting two Vita, one of which I have been looking forward to for quite a while. EdEN really liked it, with a short run time and a game that deals with the tough topic of depression this should be a great PS Plus option!
