Affiliate
Some people have asked about how to beome an affiliate with PS3Blog.net. If that describes you, this little blurb is for you. Here I describe my current thinking on affiliates.
First off, your site has to be PS3 related, or a site PS3 people might be interested in. This might seem obvious, but I’ve had some requests that just didn’t make sense and would provide no benefit to PS3Blog.net readers.
Second, I only affiliate with established sites. I’ve seen a lot of PS3 sites come and go, so I only want to affiliate with sites that are here for the long run. I’ve had to trim my list once, and removed several sites that were no longer being updated. To help with this, I only accept affiliates that have a Google PR rating of 5 or higher. (If you don’t know what that means, look it up.) I’m even considering upping that to PR 6, because my list is already quite long. I don’t want an affiliate list that’s so long it’s hard to pick anybody out.
Third, I want to affiliate with sites that are updated regularly, have a nice site design, and are not offensive. Pretty self-explanatory there, I think. I try to keep PS3Blog.net friendly for most readers.
Fourth. If you haven’t done your homework, I’m going to ignore you or decline. It’s amazing how many e-mails I get addressed to nobody or “To whom it may concern”. Someone like that is just a link collector and I don’t want anything to do with that.
That’s about it. Please keep these things in mind before contacting me about affiliation.
