Where to even start?!The graphically intense demo of Battlefield 4 featured a monstrous escape, huge gun-fights, phenomenal facial animations, an amputation(wait wut) and very little painfully dull dialogue that poisoned Battlefield 3’s single-player. DICE already has a winning formula for multiplayer, but came-out-swinging to prove that with this year’s new game, Battlefield 4, it can create a single-player campaign to match. Moving on, I’d like to point out a couple things I spotted:
Wooo! Does this mean naval battles are coming?! Stick around to find out, because in about a week your jaw shall hit the ground. We are in for some big surprises this GDC!
Looks like EA sent more invitations out, this time we got a date to mark in our calenders. EA/DICE seems to be aiming for a full-on-guns-blazing-announcement of BF4, on March 26th at 7PM(PDT)/10PM(EST). Proof you say?! Well, your wish is the Internets command:
We’ve all known for quite a while that Battlefield 4 was coming, when EA offered Battlefield 4 beta invites with pre-orders of Medal of Honor: Warfighter in 2012. Which honestly, didn’t do too hot. But, it did shave some sales off the Rockefeller of the FPS world, Call Of Duty. I can’t wait to see what DICE has got for us next-gen. Maybe, we’ll finally get some actually Battle-size-shootouts. 32 vs 32, on the PS4, would be pretty damn smooth. Ah yes, one final thing: Kotaku posted some BF4 game-art. Which gives us our first look at what we can expect, in the next installment of the 10 year-old Battlefield series.
DICE and EA are rumored to be revealing Battlefield 4 on Mach 26 at an invite-only event held during this year’s Game Developer’s Conference. How does Ace know this magical news? Well, obviously I was invited…or IGN shared the invite they received for the event. Oh, and it’s obviously a Battlefield thing(Sorry SimCity fans):
Naughty Dog was on deck to demo The Last of Us, which feels like a grown-up version of Uncharted. Not that Uncharted isn’t grown up, but The Last of Us can be downright vicious. The realistic fight scene stretched over several rooms, starting with the main characters trying to stealth, but then being forced into battle.
Video and more info after the break!
GTTV’s revealed the first real trailer for Valve’s upcoming shooter Counter-Strike: Global Offensive, as more information on the game become apparent from playtests at the company’s headquarters in Washington.
Gaming sites report that while PC gamers will enjoy its normal control options open to them, with Xbox 360 gamers only able to use a gamepad, PS3 owners will have the option of either a DualShock, PlayStation Move and even a keyboard and mouse. I believe that’s worth mentioning again — keyboard and mouse. On your very own PS3.
Lots of different sites from have been posting up the leaked killstreak and perk list. With no word on who first leaked this and no official release from Infinity Ward or Activision, there is no real way of knowing how much, if any of this list is true. So, don’t hold your breath!
