First Ever Battlefield 3 Gameplay on PS3

Battlefield 3 will be featured on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon on tonight as part of video game week on the show. EA’s Kevin O’Leary and DICE’s Johan Dohl will be showing the first Playstation 3 footage of Battlefield 3.

Wow! It looks like ps3 runs bf3 very smooth, honestly I can’t tell the difference between this and the PC version. Maybe it’s just me.

[E3 2011] Brothers in Arms: Furious 4

Brothers In Arms: Furious Four is a first person shooter set during World War 2, with the duty being to do “one thing and one thing only, killing Nazi’s.” You could possibly remember that line from director Quentin Tarantino’s last film, Inglourious Basterds, which the game is clearly inspired by. I love Inglourious Basterds, and the trailer for Furious Four makes the game look fun, that’s if Gearbox includes several violent and grotesque way to kill one of Hitler’s pigs.

[E3 2011] Insomniac Multiplatform IP: Overstrike

Overstrike is a new multiplayer game from Insomniac that follows the Overstrike 9 team as they fight to prevent a "shadowy organization" from wiping out humankind...

During EA’s E3 press conference today, Insomniac Games founder and CEO Ted Price went on stage and revealed that Insomniac was leaving the old days of platform exclusivity behind and coming out with their first multiplatform game ever. The new title is called Overstrike, a multiplayer game that will release on both Xbox 360 and PS3.

[E3 2011] Battlefield 3 Launches October 25th

EA has revealed that it will be releasing Modern Warfare 3’s biggest rival, Battlefield 3, on October 25th — two weeks before the new Call of Duty. Will this have an effect on either game’s sales? It looks like the latter part of the year will get pretty bloody. EA also released new multiplayer footage, it looks insane! Can’t wait for Battlefield 3! A beta was also confirmed for September, so, hold out a little longer for a battlefield 3 fix.

Activision Thanks EA

EA/DICE believes that they can certainly take home the FPS crown this year, even calling out its competitor for becoming more lazy. Activision meanwhile seems shrug off EA’s comments, and even thanked its bitter rival for mentioning Call of Duty “more than we do.”

“It sounds trite but it’s true: we focus on what we need to do to make the best games we can,” says Activision Publishing boss Eric Hirshberg in an interview with MCV.”We don’t pay much mind looking at what the competitors are doing. I know they are focused on us… well that’s all I’ll say.”

“Well, I think EA might talk about our games in the press more than we do,” joked Hirshberg. “So, the first thing I say to them is, ‘Thanks for the assistance in building awareness.'”
