If you’ve played any of the MotorStorm games on the PlayStation 3, you’re in for a real treat. Previous iterations of this ever popular franchise have provided gamers with many hours of entertainment, and now this monster of a game reaches out to MotorStorm fans on PlayStation’s newest arrival – the PS Vita.
When I first played MotorStorm RC, it was at the PlayStation Access Vita Rooms Party here in UK. I managed to catch up with Paul Rustchynsky (Evolution Studios Game Director), who gave me a quick run down on the game itself before letting me loose on their Vita to experience it first hand.
It has been well over a month since I last played this radio controlled riot, and once I managed to get my greasy mits onto a copy of the completed game, I couldn’t help but agree that this game was going to be a deal breaker for many a PS Vita adopter.
For those that have been gaming through the early 90’s – do you remember games such as Micro Machines or Ivan ‘Ironman’ Stewart’s Super Off Road? If you do, then you know exactly what to expect from MotorStorm RC. In fact – scrub that, you’re going to expect that AND MORE! If you haven’t played any of these games, get Googling to see what you’ve missed out on. They were THE games to play back in the day!
Just a little over a week ago we introduced you to 4Gamers, a UK based PlayStation Approved accessory brand. We also gave their COMM-PLAY Performance Gaming Kit a once over, which comprised of a Stereo Gaming Headset with a noise cancellation mic, a Dual Charging Stand and a slick Gold Plated 3D ready HDMI cable.
We’ve been holding off on giving away the kit due to the eagerly awaited PS Vita launch, and now that’s out of the way – you now have a fantastic chance to win this rather unique Performance Gaming Kit.
To be in for a chance to win this rather amazing prize, and then check out all the ways you can enter to win after the jump!
We’d like to give a HUGE thanks to 4Gamers for providing us with the goods. If you’re wondering on whether this prize is worth a punt, then why not have a read of my review?
Remember, the more you do, the better your chance to walk away with a COMM-PLAY Performance Gaming Kit!
When you’re usually trying to buy a game, you can only play it on one platform. If you own more than one gaming device then you tend to have to pay for the same game again to play it …
Before I begin, I’d just like to briefly introduce 4Gamers – a UK based PlayStation Approved accessory brand.
4Gamers have been developing quality console accessories for over 6 years, and have since established themselves as a quality brand whose products can be found in every gaming establishment, supermarkets and online stores within the UK.
4Gamers are an Official PlayStation Approved Accessory developer, so you can have the peace of mind that you are buying a product which has been carefully designed and pieced together, and has met the seal of approval from the big cheeses within the Sony corporation.
Their products range from affordable PS3 and the more recent PS Vita cases to headsets and packaged kits which appeal to the more prominent gamer. Currently their products are not available in the US, however this is about to change very soon!
I was recently invited to the 4Gamers UKHQ to see their products first hand, and I’m still wondering how I can share with you everything that I saw and had the opportunity to play with.
Last week, I was invited to an exclusive PS Vita Rooms Party here in the UK, and to be honest, it’s taken me all this time to digest everything to do with the event.
The PS Vita Rooms Party took place on Tuesday, 17th of January at 63 Deansgate – a highly popular stretch of road situated bang smack in the heart of Manchester, the city belonging to two of the world’s most admired football/soccer teams: Manchester City and Manchester United.
With the location guaranteeing maximum exposure for the PS Vita events in the North West of England, thousands of gamers filtered through the doors over 7 days to catch a glimpse of the console that has caused a stir over recent months.
With the event consisting of approximately 30-35 playable PS Vitas on two floors, approximately 10+ ‘launch day’ games on display, a DJ, free food & drinks, developers, and exclusive PS Vita accessories being showcased – you knew that this party was the place to be!
PlayStation are back on the road! And this year, they’re packing some new hardware.
PlayStation Vita is bringing “Vita Rooms” to cities across the UK where you and your mates can get hands on with PS Vita’s Dual Analogue sticks, stunning OLED screen, front and rear touch panels and Augmented Reality capabilities.
They’re equipped with the greatest in handheld gaming software too, including Uncharted: Golden Abyss, FIFA 12, Reality Fighters, MotorStorm RC, ModNation Racers: Road Trip, Little Deviants, Escape Plan, Super Stardust and Wipeout 2048.
The eagerly awaited Battlefield 3 patch is due out today, and the file size has quite a lot to say about the number of fixes taking place. The download is a massive 758 MB for North American users and 767 MB in other regions, and with approximately three hours scheduled server maintenance taking place, you may not be able to get online in order to the patch the game anytime soon.
For a list of all the fixes in the latest patch, see below:
Battlefield 3 General fixes
- Significant improvements to the Squad Join interface, full details in this earlier blog post
- Removed FIND ME A SQUAD option
- Allow players to join empty Squads alone, thus having 1/4 Squad members
- Change order of options to LEAVE SQUAD, INV A FRIEND, SWITCH TEAM
- Disable Privacy flag when 1 man Squad
- Reset Privacy flag from Private to Public when Squad drops to 1 player
God of War III was ‘officially’ the last God of War in the series. Sony did mention prior to GOW3’s release that it would be Kratos’ last outing.
Kratos went straight to the top – after finshing off the likes of Poseidan, Hades, Helios and his half-brother Hercules, he fulfilled his vengeance by killing off Zeus towards the end of the game.
That for me was the moment of the game I truly realised that there would be no more Kratos adventures for me to enjoy.
Of course, I was wrong as we saw the PSP games and the legendary PS2 games remastered – but they were mere episodes of Kratos’ past enjoyed by many originally on a different platform – but now in HD on the PS3 – and they didn’t disappoint.
It now seems that GOW3 wasn’t the end of our much loved character, as a certain job requirement has sprung up across the web. A listing posted on Creative Heads states that Sony Computer Entertainment America (SCEA) developer Santa Monica is looking for a Senior Staff Concept Artist for a God of War project.
