I got it in spades. Theme music and high quality props are what you get when Foo Productions takes over. As you can tell with the picture, I wrote everyone’s name down and carefully sliced those into tabs – all about the same size – wanted to make it as fair as possible.
Twisted Metal and David Jaffe.
Two entities that the foggy city by the bay are not ready for. I ventured forth outside my east bay domicile around 2pm with the intention of being first in line. After a very droll BART ride to the city, I arrived at the San Francisco event greeted by a motley crüe of true believers. This should not be without surprise, since Jaffe and the Twisted Metal genre both have a more than loyal following.
Anybody who has MW3 and would like to get their game on with a minor internet celebrity – yours truly – feel free to join in the hijinx this Friday. Join in and be privy to all sorts of craziness and random acts of tomfoolery. Be sure to join up so we can talk about Tosh behind his back and start nasty rumors about Jcmdaddy. And as always feel free to join up for the game night and tell me how much you love/hate/loathe our high quality podcast! At the end of the day it’s all about having fun, right?
When I invite you to the XMB text chat room. PLEASE JOIN IT!
If you have a headset, even better – but it’s no required…
Makes it much easier to communicate quickly if we loose somebody.
Plus this is where I share the secret word so you can get your game night points below.
You love it. Status updates and awkward pet photos would be looked forward to if your PS3 had a Facebook page. If it could tweet, you’d follow it. Smack it up and rub it down and gently ride that wave in, is what you’re thinking when Playstation is mentioned in passing conversation, website, or article. You would go on Maury and submit to a “baby daddy” paternity test for it. Now that we got that out of the way:
Does anybody else think it needs a facelift? You know…in general?
The XMB is tired. The obese XMB cow has grazed in the field long enough and needs to be harvested. This cow has also requested to be turned into a happy meal if at all possible. I digress though…it’s gotten a bit stale, hasn’t it? It’s been the same tired look for how many years now? Maybe something to liven up the whole experience would be nice? Add some more color to an over dark, stark and otherwise cold look. Now I know there’s jazzy themes and dynamic whatnots to spruce up the whole overall outlook, but maybe a whole new design is needed?
Loyal minions! Thought I’d contribute a bit more to this quality website than my weekly effort of our award winning podcast. Get off my rump and type another page-turner of an article for you to read and then tell all your friends about. Something Mr. Andy Rooney would be proud of. Articles usually take me about 10 minutes to write, this one has taken me over a week. Let’s begin!
People have been known to say that it’s the spice of life. Variety is a good thing in many aspects. It can make you grow, life and smile…which is fantastic in itself. People, and even the community you live in – loyal reader -, is made up entirely of variety. Different kinds of people, doing different kinds of things – all of whom are trying to live their lives the way they seem fit.
Salutations Foo Army!
The Uncharted 3 hype train finally makes a stop in San Francisco on Thursday. I’d be a dirty liar if I said to you that I wasn’t riding in first class. I’m the conductor, the engineer, the ticket guy and I’m the dining car chef that makes those tasty little omelets you get with anything you like in them. All of them – plus the Foo you’ve come to know and love.
Once again, I’ll tread out to the city by the bay and live blog (without the technical difficulties this time) the hell out of this event. There’s no embargo on this event – so its no holds barred steel cage match of UC3 info coming your way.
Being held at the Metreon Building in San Francisco, hopefully the event will be held to only one floor. This place is massive and when you think large, think about triple what you’re think and then multiply by two.
It’s big. And it’s also sold out.
I went big and got the bundle which includes a copy of the game that will be FedEx’d to me a week before the game comes out. It also includes my admission, which gives me a chance to participate in some sort of UC3 gameplay tourney – so keep those fingers crossed for Foo!
We’ll be starting the liveblog at 1pm PST – and I’ll be giving out prizes I wasn’t able to give out last liveblog because AT&T’s wonderful coverage. My apologies, but I’ll do my darnedest to get all you Drake fans the coverage and info you’ve been craving for. Did I mention prizes?
Until then, stay tuned loyal minions!! Photos of Harrison Ford playing Uncharted 3 and the Live Blog after the jump!
Greetings loyal minions!
