September is here and Destiny 2 is launching this week. It’ll be a short lived break until the rest of the games start rolling out for Q4. We also got two bits of DLC for both Rainbow Six Siege and Battlefield 1 which released for their season pass/premium members.
The PSVR got a price drop on the core bundle, which now comes with the PS camera so that’s good news. I think I might have to pick one up at some point soon, though I’ll probably wait until after I get a 4K TV.
I’m sure I don’t have to ask if you’re picking up Destiny 2 this week, so why don’t you give us your impressions in the comments below!
It was a light Gamescom with not much coming out of it. We had a few game announcements, and Dontnod is partnering with Bandai Namco, but we didn’t get much else.
There was an interesting post from Marc Laidlaw regarding a ‘fanfic’ for Half-Life 2: Episode 3, but we all know it was more than a fanfic.
With The Lost Legacy and Hellblade under my belt, I have to say I really enjoyed playing both games back to back. Their tones were different, but they were just the right length that I was looking for and they also didn’t disappoint in the least.
What about you? Have you played either of them? Let us know your thoughts in the comments below!
It’s duos week as Isli is on vacation this episode. MissXya and I go over what little news there was as well as some speculation over what Sony might show at Paris Games Week in a few months.
Uncharted The Lost Legacy is out this week, the next set of Rainbow Six Siege operators are coming out next week, and then we’re going to hit September in full force with Destiny 2. The rush is starting and it’s going to be hard to keep up!
MissXya is back to join us this week as we go over new game announcements from Starbreeze, Dragon’s Dogma coming to PS4, Tales from the Borderlands sales figures, Horizon Zero Dawn’s DLC release date, and the impressive Rainbow Six Siege numbers.
With Horizon’s DLC falling into the first week of November it’s only added to the games that are starting to pile up. Q4 is going to give us plenty of options, and hopefully every game that is coming out with be of quality.
Let us know what you’re looking forward to the most in the comments below!
We’re back with another episode, but we’re down a host this week. We recorded this prior to the release of Hellblade so we won’t have any impressions of that yet. Though we do have quite a bit of news to go over and I get into some detail about big changes coming to Battlefield 1.
It’s a late episode, and I apologize for that. A few software issues got in the way, but that has all been ironed out so it shouldn’t be an issue going forward.
This week we get into the announced DLC for Wolfenstein, Dying Light getting a year of DLC support, and of course we dip back into the Final Fantasy well once again.
Well SDCC has come and gone with not too much news on the gaming front, though Telltale did announce a bunch of release dates and windows for their upcoming games. The Destiny 2 beta was also over the same period and Isli gives us his overall impressions.
Xya talks about her overall feelings for the Stormblood expansion for FFXIV, and then keeping with the Final Fantasy theme I give a wrap up to my thoughts on FFXV. We then shift over to FFXII where Isli and I basically just say how much we’re enjoying replaying the game, and the quality of life improvement that 4x speed is.
With SDCC wrapped up what was your favorite thing you saw? I tried to avoid the Westworld Season 2 teaser, but couldn’t help it. Though waiting until 2018 will be tough. But let us know what you liked the most in the comments below!
Well it’s the episode where I complain about how much I don’t like the combat in Final Fantasy 15. Now that’s not to say I don’t like the game as a whole, but it does impact my overall impressions. I also hadn’t finished the game during this recording, so we’ll have to wait until next week before I can talk about my overall thoughts.
I picked up FFXII as a sort of cleanser to XV, and I only ever played it through one time when it released so I’m looking forward to replaying it. Isli also picked it up so we’ll be able to get into it even more over the next few episodes.
What about you? Did you pick up FFXII? What about Crash? Let us know in the comments below!
